Oof, you guys! It has been a crazy busy last few months around here! Between moving studios, prom, track, and graduation, and everything in between, it has been nonstop for us. Amidst the chaos, we did get the chance to head up the mountain last weekend and it was so beautiful! It got me pumped for all the outdoor sessions coming up.

On that note, let's talk summer/fall outdoor sessions, shall we? Our outdoor shooting season isn't that long and it also happens to be the busiest season of the year for me. That being said, if you want to get in on those dreamy outdoor photos for this year, get in touch asap! Things are finally green and the wildflowers are starting to pop so the time is now! Today we are celebrating our very own graduate, Ryder.

If you've been through this, you already might have an idea of how I'm feeling. If you haven't, but eventually will, hold on for dear life because this day sneaks up on you like you can't even image. You'd think that by the third time of doing this it would get a little easier, but it's only getting harder.

Watching this boy of ours grow up has been nothing short of extraordinary. The amount of joy he has brought to our lives is too big to even describe and we are overflowing with pride in him today and every day.

As hard as it is to watch this baby bird of mine fly the nest, I am beyond excited to see what incredible things he does with his life. I know they will be grand because that's just how Ryder rolls, always has and I'm sure always will. If he tells you he's going to build a boat, believe him.

Oh Ryder, my Little Prince, how I love and adore you and everything that you are. Keep living this life with the same vivacious fight you came into this world with.

Ah-a-la. Forever and ever.

Remember this sweet girl with her adorable little teefers?? I told you there'd be more! How freaking cute is she?! Such a perfect little cherub!

Something that I will never get over is how parents react during a newborn session. Other than the baby, of course, it is often the sweetest part of the session. I love getting to overhear their reactions to every pose and setup change, listen in on how much they adore their baby, and get to witness all the sweetness that is being a new parent. Whether it's the first baby or the fifth, those feelings are always the same. Because I'm busy with wrapping and posing and shooting, I sometimes get hyper focused on what I'm doing, but I still get to be like a fly on the wall and hear all the goodness that comes from the parents and I LOVE IT.

Many congratulations to the graduating class of 2026!! 🎓🎉

I can't believe graduation week is here already! This year I took on a few more seniors than usual because I'm a little bit attached to this graduating class. I'm so proud of these humans and can't wait to see what the future has in store for them.

To all of these seniors (and the rest of their class), I wish you an abundance of success, many moments where you make yourselves proud, and above everything else, all the happiness in the world. 🫶🏻

Every portrait photographer I know has a favorite (or a few!) muse that they love to photograph. Mine have always been my own babies, but also this girl. This is my niece and from the moment I took her newborn photos, I knew she'd be someone I'd photograph often. This girl is well trained to put up with the elements and all my shenanigans when it comes to photos. If I have an idea she always meets me with "let's do it!".

The Auntie/Niece bond is strong with this one. She's always been my little buddy, but I couldn't have ever imagined that she'd end up being one of my favorite girls in my girl tribe. She has grown through so many things in her life and I am just so damn proud of her. She is strong and resilient and, my word, can she make me laugh.

A couple months back, before spring hit and before the trees turned green again, we got to take a girl's trip. And, in true Liv fashion, when I pulled out my camera she said "let's do it!". We got to do something that isn't my typical style, but I love how they turned out. And I love that I got to photograph this girl, yet again.

There is something so remarkable about photographing someone throughout their entire life. You get to capture them in every stage and witness their becoming at every turn. I've loved every single stage with this girl, but I have to say, I am particularly in awe of her and who she has become in this one.

The very last photo just popped up on my memories from when she was just a toddler and I can't even believe that that much time has already passed. If you've been around, you've seen her face here before, and I'm sure you'll see it here again.

A little bit of baby bump goodness for your Friday evening. Something so cool about getting to do maternity photos for my newborn clients is that I get to know their parents in the waiting phase... the anticipation phase. I get to hear about their hopes and dreams and how they're preparing for the arrival and I sometimes even get in on the name secret! It's truly an incredible blessing to witness the becoming of a family.
