G & A š
A few months ago, I received a message from Graisen asking if I would be willing to photograph a surprise proposal. He had the date picked, the ring purchased, and all the important questions askedāhe just hadnāt made it official yet. ā¤ļø
Graisen and his soon-to-be fiancƩe were coming to Sheridan for a few days for a wedding, traveling all the way from Minnesota, and he had the perfect plan in place.
When I arrived at Lake Sibley, a car pulled up beside me and asked, āAre you here for the proposal?ā It was her parents! They had secretly made the trip to be part of this special moment. I quickly said yes and went right back to pretending I was very interested in photographing anything and everything around me. š
When Graisen and Addy arrived, I continued looking ābusy,ā taking random pictures of pine cones, bugs, treesāyou name itāanything to keep from giving myself away.
And then the magic happened. ā¤ļø
With their parents watching (hers secretly hiding in the trees!), Graisen got down on one knee and asked Addy to marry him.
But before she could even take in what was happening, her parents came out from their hiding spot and surprised her. š„¹
There were tears, laughter, shock, hugs, and so many emotions all wrapped into one incredible moment.
These are the moments that remind me why I love photography so much. Iām incredibly thankful Graisen trusted me to help capture such a special chapter in their story.
Congratulations, G & A! šā¤ļø What an honor it was to be a part of your magical moment.
