Just popping in with a few quick business updates as we head into one of the busiest parts of my year! 🤍

First, I know my communication has slowed down a little lately. I currently have 10+ galleries in my editing queue, a wedding in Detroit this weekend, and three sessions the following day—so I’m doing my best to keep everything moving while also taking care of myself!

✨ COMMUNICATION:
New inquiries submitted through my website can generally expect a response within 2–24 hours. For existing clients whose sessions are still a ways out, please allow 24–48 hours for a response. As your session gets closer, your messages will naturally become a higher priority!

✨ PAYMENTS:
Final payments are due no later than 24 hours before your scheduled session. If you need special accommodations, please reach out ahead of time! I completely understand that life happens—I just ask for communication so we can figure things out together.

✨ LATE ARRIVALS:
If you arrive late, your session will still end at its originally scheduled time. I arrange childcare around my session schedule, and with my husband working multiple jobs, I unfortunately can’t always extend sessions beyond their scheduled end time. Please plan accordingly so we can make the most of every minute together!

✨ GALLERY TURNAROUND:
I’m also working diligently to get galleries delivered as quickly as possible! My current editing queue is 10+ galleries, and I’m working through each one in the order it was photographed. While I typically aim for a 2–3 week turnaround, I intentionally allow myself adequate editing time so every gallery receives the same level of care, consistency, and attention to detail. I never want to sacrifice the quality of your final images simply for the sake of delivering them faster. I truly appreciate your patience while I give each session the attention it deserves!

✨ 2026 WEDDINGS:
I am officially no longer accepting additional weddings for the remainder of this year. 🤍 My remaining couples booked their dates anywhere from several months to over a year in advance, and I’ve made the decision to protect the time I’ve already committed to my clients and my family rather than continuing to squeeze more onto my calendar.

The one exception: if your photographer unexpectedly cancels and you’re suddenly left without coverage, please reach out. If I’m available and able to help, I absolutely will.

I love and appreciate you guys SO much. I’m incredibly excited for everything coming up and cannot wait to create some amazing memories with all of you.

✨ STUDIO RENTAL UPDATE ✨

I’ve been busy cleaning, reorganizing, updating, and getting the studio ready to officially welcome other photographers into the space! My goal is to have rentals open no later than October 1st. 🤍

A few details as I get everything ready:

Insurance:
Photographers renting the studio will be required to carry general liability insurance. I also highly recommend having your own gear insurance, as I cannot be responsible for damage to or loss of equipment brought into the studio. If you don’t currently have coverage, I can point you toward several affordable options!

Security:
Security cameras will be in use throughout the studio to help protect the space and everything I’ve invested into it. Cameras may not be covered, moved, unplugged, or otherwise obscured during rentals.

Three shooting areas will be available:
• Seamless paper backdrops in basic colors
• A neutral, boho-inspired lifestyle set
• A seasonal Christmas set 🎄

A little Christmas set preview: I’ve included an AI-generated concept mockup of the Christmas set I’m currently putting together! This isn’t an exact representation of the finished set—individual pieces and details may vary—but it gives you a pretty good idea of the overall vision and vibe I’m going for. Think warm, elevated, neutral Christmas that will photograph beautifully with a variety of styles. 🤎✨

Lighting equipment will not be included with rentals, so photographers should plan to bring any lighting or additional equipment they need.

Little extras:
I want this to be a comfortable space for both photographers and their clients, so I’ll have some basic amenities available, including bottled water, light snacks, basic toiletries, baby wipes + a changing area for parents, stain spray, and a few other “just in case” items.

These are complimentary amenities, so please be mindful and only take what you or your clients need during your rental.

Client closet:
My client closet will remain off-limits for the time being. This helps me keep up with laundering, steaming, organizing, and maintaining the pieces used for my own sessions.

📷 A quick note about shooting in the space…
Like any new studio or indoor environment, there may be a bit of a learning curve while you get familiar with the available light, angles, backdrops, and your preferred camera settings.

Rentals provide access to the space and designated sets, but photographers are responsible for their own shooting and post-processing. This includes lighting choices, camera settings, seamless backdrop cleanup/extension, color correction, and other normal editing associated with indoor studio work.

I’m SO excited to make this space available to other photographers while still keeping it beautiful, clean, and well cared for. I’ve put a lot into creating a welcoming space, and I can’t wait to share it with you. 🤍
