Demi + Drew 🤍

Some wedding days just have a little extra magic to them, and this was one of those days.

We started at The Westin with everyone getting ready, a little ch*****ne, a lot of anticipation, and some truly beautiful reactions as Demi’s stunning wedding-day look came together. From there, we headed to Liberty State Park and Liberty House, where the sunshine, soft September air, and that incredible skyline gave us the most gorgeous backdrop.

Demi + Drew were so easy together all day - affectionate, playful, and completely wrapped up in each other. Their first look, the quiet little glances, the laughter between portraits, Drew helping carry Demi’s dress through the grass… it all felt effortless and completely them.

And then there were the moments that made the day so personal: Demi’s cousin officiating, her dad joining the band on saxophone, the two of them singing along on the mic to some of their favorite songs, and a room full of people who clearly adore them!! (Including another couple whose wedding I'll be photographing next summer!)

I first photographed Demi and her twin brother years ago, so getting to celebrate another chapter with them all these years later felt especially meaningful.

Demi + Drew, your day was beautiful, joyful, romantic, and full of heart. Thank you for inviting me and Bill to document the start of your next chapter.

I have a soft spot for gingers. ❤️ And I truly mean that as a term of endearment. As the mom of one, I know just how rare and ridiculously beautiful that coloring is.

Jen was an absolutely stunning bride. Her gorgeous red hair, those freckles, that smile... she somehow looked both effortlessly romantic and completely radiant all day.

I usually turn my veil portraits into black-and-white versions because there’s something so timeless and dreamy about them.

But turning this one black and white?

I’m pretty sure that would be considered a crime. 😍

That hair. Those freckles. That soft green background. The tiny pearls along the veil. Some photographs are just meant to stay exactly as colorful as they are.

Oh. My.

The Stem’s End truly outdid themselves with this absolutely breathtaking floral arch.

The colors, the texture, the movement - every detail felt like it belonged in a storybook. And with Kristi and Matt tucked right into the middle of it, smiling at each other with swords in hand, it somehow felt both wildly romantic and completely, unmistakably them. ⚔️💙💛💚💜

This floral masterpiece absolutely deserved a post all its own. Seriously... just LOOK at it.

Future you is going to care a lot less about social media trends, and a lot more about this.

I’ve read some posts lately suggesting that couples should hire photographers their own age because they’ll “get” each other. Apparently something recently went viral about it??

(Take a wild guess who’s posting this advice 😂)

And I keep thinking about photographs like this one, from last weekend.

Younger me probably would not have made this frame.

Not because I wasn’t technically capable. But experience, personal loss, anticipation, empathy, and yes, AGE, have changed the way I see a wedding day.

I notice different things now.

Every woman in this photograph plays an important role in the bride’s life. No one was arranged here. No one was told where to stand. Nobody yelled, “Okay, everyone gather around the bride and look meaningful!” 😂

Nothing about this moment was scripted or posed.

I simply recognized what was happening and how extraordinary it was to have all of them together, doing what they were naturally doing, in one frame.

And I knew to photograph it.

That comes from understanding that wedding photographs aren’t only about what feels important today.

They’re also about what will feel important 10, 20, 40 years from now.

If you’re looking for a young, hype photographer who’s going to make you TikTok famous, become your instant new best friend, and impress everyone with their moves on the dance floor...

That’s probably not me. 😂

But if you want someone experienced who appreciates tradition without being bound by it, celebrates individuality, anticipates the moments you don’t even realize are happening, and understands just how rare it is to have so many of the people you love together in one place...

I’m your person.

Because someday, this won’t just be a photograph of everyone helping you get dressed.

It’ll be a photograph of all of them, together.

And future you might treasure that more than you can possibly imagine today.

P.S. I think I’m still pretty damn fun. I just might not know the TikTok dance. 😂 But I'm a fast learner...

I’m wrapping up my August wedding shares with Jenn + Ryan!! 🥂

This ridiculously fun couple said "we do!" at Green Valley Country Club on a day filled with sunshine, ch*****ne, happy tears, and SO much laughter.

One of my favorite photos from their Manayunk engagement session is of Ryan wiping some slightly ill-aimed ch*****ne off Jenn’s face… so it only seemed fitting that the roles were reversed on their wedding day when Jenn got to wipe cake off of his.

There were so many moments I loved from this day: Jenn + Ryan sharing their personalized vows privately, Ryan realizing that the voice singing as Jenn made her way down the aisle was actually HERS, our whirlwind golden hour portrait session, the sweet and hilarious toasts, and an absolutely EPIC dance floor.

And future couples, take note: EDM absolutely has a place at a wedding reception… with the right crowd. And THIS was the right crowd. 🔥

Jenn + Ryan, congratulations!! Thank you SO MUCH for inviting Bill and me along for the party. It was such a joy getting to celebrate with you both!

Kristi + Matt’s wedding celebration was packed with action, beauty, sentiment, and SO much joy.

This one was extra special for me because it felt a little like a reunion. I photographed Matt’s sister’s wedding almost 10 years ago, Jackie and Dustin were part of the wedding party, and it was so wonderful getting to reconnect with Matt’s mom after all these years!

Leading up to the wedding, Kristi and Matt casually mentioned that there might be some swords making an appearance. What I did NOT realize was just how important they were going to be. And they were AMAZING.

Then Mother Nature decided to add a little extra drama of her own.

Rain break 2.
And on attempt 3... we had a wedding!

And wow, was the wait worth it.

The sunlight that came through afterward was absolutely beautiful, making their incredible floral arch glow behind them as they finally exchanged their vows.

But honestly, the entire celebration was so unmistakably Kristi + Matt.

The clothing. The decor. The swords. The bubbles. The gorgeous sword arch sendoff. Kristi’s song dedication to Matt. Her choreographed dance with her dad. The happy tears. The laughter. The nonstop joy.

Medieval AND fun. Romantic AND completely personal.

Exactly the way a wedding should feel. ❤️

Shoutout to special wedding day moments with grandmas!

I purposely had Jess and Mark pause here during their sparkler exit so that Jess' grandma could have a front row seat for the action! (They had no idea.)

And when I saw Jess, her mom, and her grandma walking toward the photobooth, I knew I had to follow them.

I hope these photos bring back happy memories for years and years to come. 💜

I photographed Mark and Jess’s engagement session at Longwood Gardens back in 2024. It was supposed to be their proposal, but Mark was way too excited and couldn’t wait... so those plans changed. 😂

Instead, he proposed at their family’s cabin in upstate New York, with Jess’s family there to witness it and each of them playing a special part in the moment. So when they reached out a few months later and asked if I’d drive seven hours to that very same cabin to photograph their wedding, I didn’t even hesitate.

YES to the adventure. And absolutely yes to getting to photograph another chapter of their story in the place where their engagement really began.

So this past weekend, I made the trip to upstate New York to celebrate Jess and Mark, and it was SUCH a fun one.

There are way too many favorite moments to fit into one post... sweet getting-ready moments, private first looks (followed by private dances) with each of Jess’s dads, a special song during the ceremony performed by Jess’s and Mark’s dads, and a wedding party filled with friends and family who very clearly love these two to the moon and back. So many people traveled to this family cabin to spend the weekend celebrating them, and you could feel that love everywhere.

Getting to photograph their engagement session and then travel all the way to the place where Mark actually proposed to photograph their wedding felt pretty darn full-circle. And honestly, these are the kinds of wedding days I love most: personal, meaningful, full of people you love, and completely true to who you are.

Jess and Mark, it was such an honor and SO much fun. Safe travels back to Texas with your adorable puppy, and thank you for trusting me to document another chapter of your story.

Elaine is an incredibly talented photographer from Arizona who happened to be in Pennsylvania for a week visiting family, and she booked not one, but TWO sessions with me while she was here!

First, I met up with her family during their reunion in Fleetwood, where we somehow managed to squeeze in their session between rainstorms, intense heat, and some truly impressive Pennsylvania humidity.

A few days later, I met up with Elaine, her daughters, and her mom at Bartram’s Garden for session number two. Thankfully, Mother Nature was much kinder to us that evening, and we had the perfect setting to document three generations together.

It’s always an honor when someone trusts me to photograph their family, but there’s something extra special about being chosen by a fellow photographer who knows exactly what goes into creating these images.

Thank you again, Elaine and family! I loved getting to spend part of your Pennsylvania visit with you. Let’s do it again sometime!

Kimmy and Hunter are MARRIED!!!

Before the wedding, Kimmy had one request: she wanted photos of Hunter making her laugh.

Well, that was checked off within about five seconds of them seeing each other, and the rest of the day flowed just as naturally.

They skipped the wedding party and planned a relaxed timeline so they could simply enjoy their time together and celebrate with the people they love. No rushing around, no forcing moments, just a really fun day that felt completely like them.

Some of my favorite parts? The epic stare during their recessional, the heartfelt speeches, the handmade game of Guess Who featuring their actual wedding guests, and Kimmy and Hunter just being their casual, hilarious, authentic selves all day long.

Pen Ryn River’s Edge was the perfect backdrop for their colorful waterside celebration, and their vendor team did an incredible job bringing everything together.

Congrats again, Kimmy and Hunter!!!
