📸PHOTOGRAPHY UPDATE📸
For everyone interested in having me photograph their dogs, I have a meeting early this week to find out exactly what I need to make my business official. I won’t be taking clients until after that is all settled, but I have some updates on how I’d like to work things moving forward:
- folks can hire me to photograph their dog at trials/shows if I’m not the official photographer (OP). I will have a prepaid option to secure my time spent at the event photographing your dog. That being said, please be aware that if there is an OP, I may not be allowed to photograph your dog. I will always check with the event committee and OP before I ask for any payment to ensure I will be allowed to photograph your dog(s). This will also be refundable if I can’t make it for whatever reason or you can transfer it to a different event.
- I will be attempting to gain OP status at a select few trials/shows and will have announcements stating which events and when as well as how to get photos from me
- my fine art portrait sessions will still be available to book. Pricing is on my website for that.
- I may have an add-on service that is for portraits outside of the ring for event photography. I haven’t solidified this idea yet but if there is interest, I will figure out a way to provide.
- I will be open to occasionally using the barter system if you can offer me something of equal value
- for all of my photography, I will continue offering web sized and high resolution download options as well as print products. Web sized images will be for personal use ONLY on social media and will be subject to copyright laws. They’ll have a small unobtrusive signature in a place on the photo that cannot be cropped out. High resolution images, when bought, will include full rights of the photo for you to use however you please and will NOT include a signature. Prints can be purchased right through your gallery on my website.
- if I find any of my photos being used inappropriately, I will request you remove the photo and will decline to photograph your dog(s) in the future. Copyright info on what’s allowed and what isn’t will be included in the email with your order. This will be the one and only warning on proper use. Please do not make me have to put you on my DNS (do not shoot) list!
I’m looking forward to capturing everyone’s gorgeous dogs!! I’m very excited about moving forward with this and hope to hear from people soon!
