If you’re unsure about how a bird or wildlife print might fit in your home, here’s a great visual! You don’t have to have an animal themed home to have a touch of the outdoors in your living or office space.

150 Bird Challenge: 121/150 Great Horned Owl

This may not be the best photo, but one can’t complain when owls are involved ! And it’s a great addition to the year challenge. It was an odd find, in broad daylight and the heat of the day but I’ll take it.

For the year of 2026, I set myself a challenge to photograph 150 different species of birds and document them here.
There are a few rules:
•Birds must be clear and identifiable and,
•Birds must be in a natural setting. (no feeders in photo)
Follow me if you aren’t already, and lets see 150 birds this year!

150 Bird Challenge: 120/150 American Kestrel

It’s been a huge goal of mine to get a photo of a kestrel in a tree, because I’ve only ever been able to capture them on power lines. I finally got it ! And I think it’s beautiful.

For the year of 2026, I set myself a challenge to photograph 150 different species of birds and document them here.
There are a few rules:
•Birds must be clear and identifiable and,

150 Bird Challenge: 119/150 Northern House Wren

There are several house wren that are all over my backyard, and they happily chitter chatter all day long. I absolutely love hearing them and I plan to add some nesting boxes for them next spring.

150 Bird Challenge: 118/150 Upland Sandpiper

I saw this guy on the very top of a power pole, and obviously had to turn around and see what it was because it looked so bizarre, lol. I could tell it was some sort of shorebird, and to my delight it’s a new species I’ve never seen before!

For the year of 2026, I set myself a challenge to photograph 150 different species of birds and document them here.
