Richmond, I’m already dreaming about February. 🫶

We don’t even make it to Virginia until January and somehow I already have two little Valentine’s ideas living in my head that I really want to bring to life. 🥹

I’m looking for one couple + one expecting mama who would be down to create with me.

Not Valentine’s minis. Not a set. Not a bunch of hearts everywhere. Just two really beautiful, intentional little stories about love — one between two people, and one between a mama and the little person she’s waiting to meet.

I’m picturing winter outside in Virginia. Deep reds. Love letters. Bare trees. Interesting clothes. Movement. Film. A little romance, a little whimsy, a little grit. The kind of photos that feel like they already have a memory attached to them.

These will be $200 portfolio sessions and include your full curated gallery.

Because I’m creating these specifically for the work I want to bring into Richmond, I’ll be pretty hands-on with styling, location + the overall vision. So I’m looking for people who see this and think yep, do your thing. 😂🫶

I’ll share more of what’s rattling around in my brain once I find my people 🥹

Today’s session ended with our very own “YOU’RE ALL DOOMED!” horror movie moment. 💀

Except instead of some creepy old man warning us to stay away from Camp Crystal Lake, we got an old lady banging on a metal trash can lid yelling:

“THIS IS NATURE!!!”

Ma’am… there is literally a man in a Jason mask chasing a woman through the woods behind you? Somehow you are still the most unsettling part of this entire shoot. 😭

SIERRA VISTA — I’m looking for a few people willing to hand me the reins. 🖤

Sonoran Salt is changing before she heads East.

Not a complete reinvention. More like turning the volume up on everything I’ve been craving lately — warmth, film, romance, grit, whimsy, movement, weird little moments and photographs that feel lived in.

And before I leave the desert that built this little business, there are a few things I really, really want to make.

So I’m opening only 3 creative calls at $125 each.

These are intentionally discounted because they’re being created specifically for my portfolio — which means I’m looking for people who are excited to trust the concept, follow the styling direction and let me have creative control.

JOSIE’S — LOVERS
Frozen yogurt + flirting with your person. Sharing bites. Sticky fingers. Flash. Movement. Laughing when you were supposed to be looking at me.
Sweet, but not sugary. Nostalgic without pretending it’s 1974.
I want photographs that feel like they’ve already been sitting in a shoebox for fifteen years.

BISBEE — LOVERS : BOOKED
Bisbee gets to be weird. So do we.
Interesting styling, old walls, crooked streets, unexpected corners, movement, texture, skin, shadows and maybe a little direct flash when it feels right.
Less “stand there and kiss.” More wandering around town with me while I make something romantic and slightly unruly out of the two of you.

SKATEPARK — MATERNITY
This one might be my favorite kind of weird.
Motherhood against concrete. Curves against curves. Warm evening light, movement, texture, skin and softness somewhere we aren’t used to seeing it.
Styling will be built around the mama I choose — because no, I am not trying to turn somebody into a pregnant skateboarder. 😂 The contrast is the concept.

One little disclaimer before you volunteer as tribute:
These are creative calls, not discounted custom sessions.

I’ll provide the styling direction and I need you willing to follow it. No Pinterest boards. No shot lists. No arriving with 14 screenshots we absolutely have to recreate. 😂

Bring me you. Come ready to move, laugh, get a little uncomfortable, maybe feel ridiculous for five minutes and trust that I know what I’m doing with the rest.

You bring the people. I’ll bring the weird little ideas.

Arizona gave Sonoran Salt her bones. I’ve got a few months left here, and I plan on making them pretty as hell. 🖤

Okay… this one actually got me a little. 🥺

My calendar is officially FULL for the rest of the year. My last 3½ months of shooting in Arizona are BOOKED OUT.😭🌵

I’m leaving the little bit of breathing room I have left for weather, life, and reschedules for the clients already on my books. I’ve spent five years pouring so much of myself into this little business out here, and knowing I get to spend my final months in Arizona doing exactly what I love, with a full calendar of people who chose *me* to tell a little piece of their story… yeah. That means more than I know how to put into words. 🥺🤎

I may have one or two Mondays hiding in there, so if you’ve been wanting a session before I go, send me a message. I’ll squeeze in what I can. 🫶

one last season in the desert. 🤍

I’ve started and stopped writing this more times than I can count, because Arizona has been home for a really long time.

But I will not be taking sessions past December 2026.

Our family has made the very personal decision to try & move back East — back to our roots, back to our family, and back to the village we’ve realized we need more than ever.

As the years have gone by, being so far away from the people we love has gotten harder. Life has changed. I’ve changed. Navigating chronic illness while raising a family without family nearby has made us look at what we really need in this season of our lives.

And the answer kept leading us home.

It’s incredibly bittersweet, because Arizona is home, too.

It’s where we built so much of our life. Where our babies grew. Where I built this business from the ground up and somehow ended up with the most incredible people trusting me to document their lives year after year.

This desert has a piece of me that I don’t think will ever really leave.

And truthfully? I hope someday life brings me back here. 🤍🌵

But for now, it’s time to go back to our roots.

Before we do, I want one last beautiful season behind my camera here.

So I’m opening two Farewell Mini dates before the end of the year.

These are for the families who have grown alongside me. The babies I photographed who aren’t babies anymore. The clients who became familiar faces. The people who have said, “We need to book with you again!” and just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

And they’re for the people who have followed my work from afar and always thought someday.

Someday is now.

Come run through the desert with me one more time!

Let me photograph how your babies fit in your arms right now. Let them be wild. Love on each other. Laugh too loudly. Let’s make something that feels like you.

Because after December, my Arizona calendar closes.

I only have very limited availability left.

And while I know there are beautiful things waiting for us back where our story began, saying goodbye to the place that became home — and to the people who helped me build a dream here — is going to hurt a little.

So I’m not calling this goodbye yet.

Just one more season. One more Arizona sunset. One more memory for the road. 🤍
