Megan Whitworth is a storyteller - through digital and print.

In the summer of 2009, Megan decided on a spur of a moment she wanted to be a photographer. She went to Wal-Mart at midnight that night and bought a Fijifilm digital camera for $100. Just a couple of short years later, she discovered her love of Canon, and has never looked back. She has trained with photography geniuses and keeps shoo

ting to further cultivate her craft.

Megan's work has been published in The Lufkin News, Longview News-Journal, Charm East Texas and Texas Forest Country Living.

When she's not photographing the people, places and things around her, Megan shares the stories of East Texans through the weekly newspaper San Jacinto News-Times, where she serves as editor. She also enjoys being with her family, laughing at her own jokes, missing the mountains, singing karaoke, and obsessing over her cats, Lucy and Felix.

Anthony and Guadalupe are truly the sweetest—and seriously adorable! Guadalupe reached out to me on Facebook, and just a week later, we met at City Lake Park for their session. I had the best time getting to know them and hearing their beautiful love story.

Getting to capture the stories of incredible people like these two is one of my greatest joys. It’s such an honor to do what I do!

When strangers become friends 🫶🏻

I officially had my first senior session in Arkansas tonight—and it was incredible. The sun was shining perfectly, and Sarah was absolutely gorgeous (and so sweet!). I can’t wait to go through the photos—it’s going to be hard to choose favorites!

Photography brings me so much happiness.

Fun fact: In May 2009, I purchased my first digital camera and have been shooting ever since. It’s one of my favorite things to do. It’s when I feel most confident and genuinely excited to meet everyone I photograph. 📸
