Meet Joe Endy, our Photographer of the Week! Joe has been featured in Birds & Blooms magazine and on the website multiple times. He was also a semifinalist in the Birds & Blooms Annual Photo Contest in 2022.
“I love focusing on the fine details in close‑up wildlife images. Living with spine issues has shaped both my approach and perspective in the field. I often work from a seated, supported position, and I’ve learned that being still allows wildlife to grow comfortable and move around naturally. By settling low to the ground in camouflage or neutral clothing, I blend into the landscape, creating more opportunities for intimate, naturally posed photographs. I prefer full manual control of my camera and rely on an 800mm prime lens to capture exceptional detail at a distance. I love photographing in late afternoon through evening, when golden hour light is at its best.”
