Wrapped in the fabrics from the day we said, “I do.”
Scarred from your words that cut like razor blades.
I carried those words for years.
I wore them in silence and swallowed every scream
until I couldn’t recognize myself beneath them anymore.
So I disappeared for a while
to find the parts of me that survived.
And when I finally found her,
she was covered in gold instead of shame.
Now I wear my scars just like tattoos.
