Do you ever feel like there’s just too many photographers in your area to be reallllyyyyyy successful? Let’s change that.
Here are 3 things you can do to stand out in a saturated market:
#1 Niche down: If you want to go from “generalist to specialist” then you have to stop staying yes to every single inquiry. If you simply your offerings and focus on 1-3 genres you will create a higher demand for your services and will rise an expert in your market.
#2 Focus on your client experience: What can you do to create a memorable client experience?
To start, reflect on moments that you’ve been “wowed” as a buyer. Was it the exceptional customer service? A gift you received? Or the attention to details? Adding in a few personal touches to your client experience is sure to make your brand stand out.
#3 Create a unique offer: What problem can you solve for your client? Here’s an example - years ago one of my fav clients came in for a milestone session and told me that she hadn’t printed a single thing from her daughter’s newborn session because she was too busy. Right then a light bulb went off!
Problem: my client was saying, “Help, these pictures are important but I’ll never do anything with them on my own.”
Solution: I shifted gears and am now a full service studio that specializes in beautiful printed products. 🫶🏻.
