For the past 13 years, I've had the incredible privilege of photographing Erika, Josh, and their beautiful family.

Every year I look forward to our session, and every year I leave feeling just a little more inspired.

Josh, I truly admire the love, joy, and steady example you provide for your family.

Erika, you are the definition of a super mom—bright, compassionate, full of life, and endlessly loving.

As you'll see in these portraits, love isn't something you have to pose. It radiates naturally from this family. Their smiles, laughter, and the way they interact with one another tell a story that words never fully could.

Erika and Josh, thank you for trusting me to preserve your family's memories for more than a decade. Watching your children grow through my lens has been one of the greatest honors of my career.

Senior Portrait Season is officially here!

It's hard to believe, but school starts in just a few short weeks, and my calendar is already beginning to fill with Class of 2027 seniors!

My word! - I can not believe how much the children have grown in the past 5 years! - The girls are literally adults now! - Time is flying by soooo quickly. :)

I'm so glad we were able to slow things down and capture these beautiful moments last night. :)

There are few things in life more beautiful than young love.

The older I get, the more I see life as a collection of chapters—each one telling a different story, each one carrying its own meaning. Few chapters are as hopeful, joyful, and full of possibility as the one that begins with an engagement.

Engagement portraits are so much more than photographs. They become a visual reminder of a season filled with excitement, anticipation, quiet moments, big dreams, contagious laughter, and the promise of a life built together.

Last night, Kyle and Elizabeth invited me into that chapter of their story, and what a privilege it was. The smiles were effortless, the laughter was genuine, and the love between them was unmistakable. It was one of those evenings that reminds me exactly why I have loved this profession for more than two decades.

Kyle and Elizabeth, thank you for trusting me to preserve this extraordinary season of your lives. Thank you for warming my heart and reminding me that love—real, authentic love—never goes out of style.

I cannot wait to celebrate alongside you, your families, and your friends on your wedding day.

Hello Hello Hello, Sioux Falls! ☀️

Summer is in full swing, and the city is buzzing with color, life, and sunshine!!! If family portraits have been on your mind, now is the perfect time to scoop the short people in your life, pick out coordinating outfits, and make some memories!

My favorite Sioux Falls spots—Tuthill Park, McKennan, Sertoma, Arrowhead, Terrace Park, the Arboretum, and Downtown—are all looking absolutely stunning. And let’s be direct: some of you have backyards that rival botanical gardens.

Well.. I'm not quite ready for this phase in life, but last week I had the opportunity to photograph Desire for her first of her Senior Sessions....

Fun fact, her father and I have known one another since 9th grade. - Younger than Desire is now! - Time just keeps on moving.
