I have been doing a ton of extended family sessions lately 💫 There is something so special about getting everyone together in one place. Grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins, little ones running around — the people who don’t always get to be together as often as they’d like.

And here’s something I always want families to know before their session: it does not have to go perfectly.

Sometimes everyone shows up, the kids cooperate, we breeze through the big group photos and think, wow, look at us go! 😂

Honestly, some of those imperfect moments end up being my favorites. The giggles, the chaos, the little personalities, the grandparents loving on their grandbabies — that is your family. And I want to photograph that, not just a perfectly posed version of it.

So if you've been putting off an extended family session because you’re worried your kids won't cooperate… please don't. 🤎

🎂 BROOKS IS (almost) ONE! 🎂💙

I had the absolute joy of photographing Brooks as a newborn, and I’ve gotten to capture some of the special moments in between along the way. Watching him grow from that tiny newborn into this happy ONE-year-old has been so much fun!

And even better, I’ve gotten to know his amazing parents along the way, too. 🥰 Getting to watch families grow and being trusted to document these little milestones is truly one of my favorite parts of this job!
