Meet your photographer! Hi there everyone! Its me, the eye behind the lens of Small World Photography. I have playing with cameras since I was two years old....that is if you count the fisher-price camera I carried around everywhere. But I suppose that doesn't count. Well, my dad was a photographer well before I was born. I would say before he knew my mom, but they met when they were 12. I owned my own camera I didn't have to share when I was around the same age. I remember my first roll of film. Digital still wasn't a thing. My lovely Nikon N55. Little grey camera. My dad took us down to Sailorville Lake to play with them. I ran through my film so fast. When the photos came back he couldn't believe the shots I had gotten. My dad almost looked a little sad that I had gotten some better shots, but he didn't hold that face for long. Instead, he encouraged me to keep taking photos so every weekend after that we went somewhere and photographed something. He ended up starting his own business, and I went to school and double majored in Graphic Design and Photography. He passed away in 2016 and so did his business. I went off to Louisiana to teach. I have regrets for letting his business die with him, but I had to explore. I published a book called Louisiana Forgotten (which you can get on Amazon) and I learned a lot about what I was capable of. Thanks to my dad and his love of photography, my photography is what it is. So thank you Dad. Hope you all enjoy this page of my pieces. If you have any questions message me! I love talking photography.
