Motherhood changed me completely.
There was a season after becoming a mom where I felt like I had lost myself. Postpartum was heavy, and somewhere between the sleepless nights, the responsibilities, and being known as “just mom,” I struggled to remember who I was outside of that role.
Photography came into my life during that season, and little by little, it helped me find pieces of myself again. It reminded me that I was still creative, passionate, and capable of building something beautiful.
But more than anything, photography gave me an even deeper appreciation for motherhood itself. Because now I notice the little things — the tired eyes, the gentle touches, the way moms carry the weight of the world while still loving so deeply.
Motherhood is the hardest job I’ve ever had. It can feel heavy, exhausting, and sometimes unseen. But it is also the most natural thing I have ever done and the greatest blessing I’ve ever been given.
So today, Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms. 🤍
To the new moms learning as they go, the seasoned moms who make it look effortless, the grandmas, the bonus moms, the pet moms, and especially the mothers who carried babies they never got to raise earthside.
Today is for all of you and the love you carry every single day.
