Another quick trip to NYC in the books!
This time staying in Brooklyn (which I have to say I quite liked) a “bit” of a quieter pace than Manhattan (I mean in a NY kinda way)…
The The Penny was a quaint boutique hotel that was uniquely eclectic in its art and killer rooftop bar/view!
Of course the highlight and purpose of our trip was to see the legendary band Bon Jovi Jon Bon Jovi !
I have told Ryan since we met if they ever toured we had to go and last November they came out with dates but only in NYC…soooo we made it happen! Yes in the middle of summer and all the things with kids and college and wedding season…I am so grateful to have a partner that is up for adventure!
And Bon Jovi did not disappoint! Nostalgic with the songs we grew up with and bring back those teen memories but also thinking this is likely their last tour and what a career they have had…they first played at MSG in 1983!
So getting to see them play there last night was incredible!
Let’s not leave out one main highlight- Nate (the only boy in our tribe of 5 kiddos) has been interning in NYC this summer…soooo fitting in a couple of meals with him was just so good!! Anytime we can spend one on one time with the kids is such a treasure and just watching Ryan and Nate and how their relationship continues to deepen simply makes me smile (as it’s what we as parents always want)!
It’s always so fun to experience new places -even in a place we have been a handful of times…new streets, new people, different coffee, co-ed bathrooms with a dj playing on a tv (I guess for entertainment) and always great city energy!
Till next NYC and my love RS 🤍
