The Bedroom Won

Two sessions. A studio full of options. Lots of wardrobe changes.

She still had a favorite.

The bedroom scenes.

Maybe it's the softness of them. Maybe it's the way a bedroom gives us room to move from playful to sultry without changing locations. Maybe she simply found an outfit she loved and decided the rest of us could stop competing.

Whatever the reason, when we asked her to choose the part of her session that stood out most, this was it.

And there's something else happening here that we love about repeat sessions.

By round two, she wasn't trying to recreate the first experience. Her body had changed. Her life had changed. The studio had changed. She'd changed.

She got to show up as the version of herself who existed that day, rather than trying to match photographs we'd already made.

Two sessions don't give you duplicate galleries.

They give you two chapters.

Some days call for subtle.

This is not one of those days.

Our Victoria's Secret Wings are big, dramatic, glamorous, and completely incapable of quietly blending into the background.

Which is precisely why we love them.

You don't need to arrive with a plan for how to pose with several feet of feathers attached to you. We'll handle placement, posing, and all the little details that turn "WOW, these things are huge" into that belongs on my wall.

All the Glam

For someone who doesn't typically wear makeup every day, she has absolutely no objection to going ALL IN when the occasion calls for it.

Her first consultation requested sparkly makeup. By the second, she was leaning toward full glam.

And really, look at the woman.

She wasn't here for tinted moisturizer and a polite little swipe of mascara.

The time in the styling chair became part of the fun. She got to sit down, hand herself over to someone whose entire job was making her feel fabulous, and watch the finished look come together before we'd taken a single photograph.

"My stylist was amazing! She made me feel beautiful!!!"

Three exclamation points.

We're leaving them there because they feel appropriate.

By the time she stepped onto set, the hair was done, the makeup was done, and the firecracker had officially been released.

Round Two

The first time she planned a session with us, there were questions.

What would she wear? How would she look? Would she actually feel sexy once she was standing in front of a camera?

The second time?

Different conversation entirely.

She already knew she loved being photographed here. Instead of wondering whether she'd enjoy herself, she came into her consultation super excited and ready to see what else we could make. She wanted a mix of glam and bo***ir, plenty of studio wardrobe, and sets she hadn't experienced before.

That's one of our favorite things about photographing someone again.

The first session introduces us.

The next one lets us play.

She didn't need to figure out how the studio worked or whether she could trust the person holding the camera. Her description of the creative process this time was considerably simpler:

"I love having fun and just letting Sara do what she does!"

An excellent policy, really.

She'd Been Thinking About It for Years

By the time she finally booked her first JVZ session, bo***ir wasn't some brand-new idea she'd stumbled across. She'd wanted to do it for years. Turning 30 finally gave her a reason to stop thinking about it and put an actual date on the calendar.

She arrived excited, with a fairly ambitious goal for the day: she wanted to feel sexy and amazing. She wanted the glamour, the lingerie, the accessories, and the experience of seeing herself completely differently from the everyday version staring back from the bathroom mirror.

But the reason she walked through our doors was much more personal.

She wanted to feel like an unstoppable force again.

If you've seen even a handful of these photographs, you can probably guess how that went.

The woman who describes herself as a "firecracker, sassy, playful" didn't exactly have trouble making herself known once the camera came out.

And that first session?

It wouldn't stay her only one for very long.

Turn the lights red and Something Wicked goes from dark and mysterious to...well...

🔥 Hello.

That's one of our favorite things about the rebuild. We didn't want a set that could only make one kind of photograph. Change the wardrobe, change the pose, change the lighting, and suddenly the whole room tells a different story.

So when you're planning your Something Wicked look, the real question isn't whether you want dark and dramatic.

It's how wicked are we getting? 😈

All of Them

At the end of our Client Feature Survey, we ask everyone to tell us their favorite image numbers.

It's useful information.

Her answer was not particularly useful.

"All of them! I can't pick just one."

We'll allow it. 😂

A few weeks earlier, she'd walked into the studio expecting to be shy and reserved. She wasn't sure how she'd feel in front of the camera, and she certainly didn't know that the experience would become one she hoped to repeat.

By reveal day, the question had changed. She wasn't trying to decide whether she'd photographed well. She was learning to look at those images without immediately searching for something to criticize.

That lesson followed her home.

She told us she's trying to spend less time looking for faults and more time appreciating the natural beauty that's already there. And when we asked what she'd tell someone who insists they're awkward in photographs or simply "not photogenic," she had an answer for that, too:

"Put those doubts to rest. You are more photogenic than you probably realize."

Coming from the woman who expected to spend her first session hiding inside her shell?

We'll take her word for it.

And as for whether there will be another session someday, she already answered that one.

She hopes so.
