Maven Elizabeth | 1 Day

This morning, I had the privilege of stepping into the NICU at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital to photograph sweet baby Maven.

Maven is tiny, precious, deeply loved, and fighting a battle that no newborn should ever have to face. The machines, the monitors, the tubes, and the uncertainty surrounding her journey are reminders of how serious her situation is. Yet somehow, in the middle of it all, God's presence felt impossible to miss.

I watched two parents pour every ounce of their love into their little girl. I witnessed strength when exhaustion would have been understandable. I saw faith standing firm in a place where fear tries so hard to take root.

The NICU can feel overwhelming, but this morning I was reminded that miracles don't always arrive in grand, dramatic moments. Sometimes they look like a tiny hand gripping a finger. Sometimes they look like one more stable report. Sometimes they look like a sweet NICU nurse tending to a baby as though she were her own.

Please continue to pray for Maven, for Taylor and Ryan, and for the incredible medical team caring for her. Pray for strength when they are weary, peace when the unknown feels heavy, wisdom for her doctors, surgeons and nurses, and healing over Maven's tiny heart.

We serve a God who is still in the business of miracles. While the road ahead remains uncertain, we choose to believe that He is walking every step of it with this sweet family.

Sweet Maven, you are so very loved. đź’ś

Dear friends,
I’m reaching out today with a tender request.

As many of you know, I’ve had the honor of capturing so many beautiful moments in my clients’ lives, and today, I humbly ask for your prayers for baby Maven.

Maven is the precious baby girl of Taylor and Ryan, two of the kindest, most selfless people I know. Taylor is a nurse at our local hospital, and Ryan serves on an ambulance crew close to home—both of them give so much to our community.

I have traveled to Nashville to be close to Taylor and Ryan as the prepare for delivery. Maven is being born at Vanderbilt Hospital, where they will closely monitor her heart and prepare for an emergency surgery if needed. My heart is so full of gratitude that I get to capture her Fresh 48 moments, even as we carry them in our prayers.

Please join me in praying for sweet Maven, Taylor, and Ryan and their entire medical team. I’m so grateful to be part of their journey, both as a photographer and as a human.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

This afternoon I had the honor of photographing one very special little graduate — Miss Carly. 🎓✨

Not only was I behind the camera for her kindergarten mini session, but I also had the privilege of being her teacher this year in her Pre-K 4 homeschool program using Abeka curriculum. Watching this sweet girl grow over the past year has been such a blessing.

This year Carly learned to read, write, add, subtract, mastered her ABC’s, and can count to 100 by 1s, 5s, and 10s like a pro. But even more importantly, she learned with excitement, determination, and the sweetest little spirit.

Seeing her all dressed up today for her graduation photos honestly made me emotional. It’s such a special thing to watch a child go from learning letters and numbers to confidently stepping into the next chapter. I already know she is going to do AMAZING in kindergarten in Arlington next year, and I have no doubt it will be a breeze for her.

I am so proud of you, Carly. Your future is so bright, sweet girl. 💕📚

Jakeb may have already crossed the graduation stage this week, but he definitely wasn’t done making senior year look legendary. 🔥🏍️

He showed up to finish off his senior session with the ultimate graduation gift… a motorcycle. And let me tell you — the SECOND I saw it pull up for this sunset session, I was literally jumping up and down like a kid on Christmas morning. The vibes were EVERYTHING. Golden skies, roaring engine, leather, attitude, and that “small town boy with big plans” energy that belongs in a movie scene.

This session felt bold. Edgy. Free. The kind of photos that make you feel like the whole world is waiting on the other side of that highway. Jakeb absolutely owned every second in front of my lens, and honestly? These images are the definition of badass senior portraits.

High school may be over, but this chapter? It’s just getting started. ⚡️

There are some moments behind the lens that stay with you long after the camera is put away… and yesterday was one of them. 🇺🇸

As a USMC wife, military milestones always hit a little deeper for me. The sacrifice, the commitment, the years given in service to something bigger than yourself—it’s never lost on me.

To the Price family, thank you for allowing me to capture such a meaningful day. Congratulations on the completion of an incredible chapter of military service. What an honor it was to witness not just the ceremony, but the love that filled every corner of that room.

The presentation of the folded flag is something that gets me every single time… but when he turned and placed it in his wife’s hands, there truly wasn’t a dry eye in the room—mine included. That moment said everything. The sacrifice wasn’t his alone… it was shared, carried together, and honored together.

Your story, your strength, and your love are something special.

Wishing your family so much joy as you step into this next chapter. ❤️

Senior Spotlight ✨

Yesterday’s session with Malaiya was one to remember 🤍

This beautiful senior from Bartlett High School (Go Panthers!) is getting ready to step into such an exciting new chapter. Malaiya plans to attend University of Memphis, where she’ll pursue her degree in special education—and if you spent even five minutes with her, you’d know she is absolutely meant to be a teacher.

She carries herself with such a quiet confidence and kindness, the kind that’s going to make a lasting impact on every student she meets one day.

What made the session even more meaningful was having her parents there, cheering her on every step of the way. You could feel how proud they are of the young woman she’s become, and it added such a genuine, heartfelt layer to the entire evening.

Malaiya, your future is so bright, and I have no doubt you’re going to change lives in the very best way 🤍✨

Tonight at Silo Square felt a little extra magical 🤍

Laura & Barry have the kind of chemistry you don’t have to look hard to see—it’s the kind you feel instantly. From meeting online to saying “I do” this June, their love story has been a whirlwind in the very best way.

There’s something so special about the way they look at each other… the unmistakable twinkle in his eye when he sees her, and the sweetest, almost school-girl blush she gives right back. It’s playful, genuine, and completely undeniable.

But what makes their story even more beautiful is the life they’re building together—blending their families, raising their kids side by side, and creating something rooted in love, laughter, and partnership.

If tonight was any indication, their future is going to be full of so much joy 🤍✨ June can’t come soon enough!

Last night’s celebration at Wiseacre Brewing Company was one of those evenings you can truly feel 🤍

Emma & Jacob’s rehearsal dinner was filled with so much love, laughter, and the most heartfelt speeches from family and friends. There were so many beautiful moments shared—stories that had everyone smiling, and a few that brought happy tears too.

Emma and Jacob looked so sweet together—completely at ease, soaking in every second, and surrounded by people who clearly adore them.

One of my favorite parts of the evening was how incredibly warm and welcoming their families were. You could feel the love in every corner of the room, and it made documenting these moments even more special.

Wishing these two the most beautiful wedding day today and a lifetime full of love and happiness 🤍✨

From the football field to the next big chapter—tonight’s senior session with Aidan Beavers was one to remember.

Aidan, a talented football athlete and part of the very first graduating class from Lakeland Prep, is getting ready to take on an exciting future. After graduation, he plans to attend trade school to become an HVAC technician—a career that’s not only incredibly important, but always in demand here in the Mid-South.

This session was truly a family affair, filled with genuine smiles, laughter, and so many moments that made the evening unforgettable. And a huge shoutout to his amazing mom, Stephanie—she came completely prepared with props, outfit changes, and every detail to make sure Aidan’s gallery is nothing short of incredible.

Aidan, it was an honor capturing this milestone for you. Your future is bright, and I can’t wait to see all you accomplish! 🎓✨

Christmas Eve sessions always feel extra special, but this one truly filled my heart. I had the honor of photographing my sister-in-law and her husband’s family, the Rudolph family, and capturing something so meaningful — generations together in one place.

Watching cousins laugh side by side, seeing them with their Aunt Myrna, and sharing sweet moments with Lolli reminded me just how precious extended family truly is. These are the relationships that shape childhoods, hold stories, and create memories that last far beyond the holidays.

This Christmas felt especially meaningful because we are so incredibly thankful that everyone was well enough to gather, to hug, to smile, and to celebrate together. There is no greater gift than time with the people you love.

Grateful for family, health, togetherness, and the privilege of freezing these moments in time 🤍🎄
