Maven Elizabeth | 1 Day
This morning, I had the privilege of stepping into the NICU at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital to photograph sweet baby Maven.
Maven is tiny, precious, deeply loved, and fighting a battle that no newborn should ever have to face. The machines, the monitors, the tubes, and the uncertainty surrounding her journey are reminders of how serious her situation is. Yet somehow, in the middle of it all, God's presence felt impossible to miss.
I watched two parents pour every ounce of their love into their little girl. I witnessed strength when exhaustion would have been understandable. I saw faith standing firm in a place where fear tries so hard to take root.
The NICU can feel overwhelming, but this morning I was reminded that miracles don't always arrive in grand, dramatic moments. Sometimes they look like a tiny hand gripping a finger. Sometimes they look like one more stable report. Sometimes they look like a sweet NICU nurse tending to a baby as though she were her own.
Please continue to pray for Maven, for Taylor and Ryan, and for the incredible medical team caring for her. Pray for strength when they are weary, peace when the unknown feels heavy, wisdom for her doctors, surgeons and nurses, and healing over Maven's tiny heart.
We serve a God who is still in the business of miracles. While the road ahead remains uncertain, we choose to believe that He is walking every step of it with this sweet family.
Sweet Maven, you are so very loved. đź’ś
