We are looking for original concepts that will help activate public space, enhance the streetscape, and create a welcoming visual experience for residents and visitors alike.

Art show at Livingston's Heidi Gallery explores the mysteries of the color teal

A play on words for this chameleon of a color that plays tricks on the eyes and pulls at the heart of strings when creating mood and nuance.

I took a quick ride to Maplewood Village and parked my car in my secret spot on Durand Rd by the little tunnel to the village yesterday.

I started my tour of Windows for Women to see what was set up and what was need at Maybelles. When I arrived Christine was hanging Elaine Wladyga's work. We called Angel and she quickly came and soon both artists had their work installed.

I then walked back to where my car was, through the tunnel and stopped by Ani Ramen, Hello Huckelberry, New Earth Pet Services, Luxe 45, Tandori Chef, Mona Lisa Framing, Elevated by the Cannaboss Lady, Coda, Outerborough Deli, Linda's Cleaners, Osteria LK, The Able Baker, The Maplewood Village Pharmacy, Maplewood Karate Dojo, Baker Street Yoga, and The Able Baker. I was impressed by what I saw and took some snaps with my mobile.

Art needs to be viewed in person, so this is just a glimpse, a work in progress of what the exhibit will be like.

This Thursday, February 26th, there will be an opportunity to meet the artists whose work can be seen in the windows
