Yesterday was such a beautiful reminder of what marriage is truly about šŸ’›

Leana and Justin’s Christ-centered Yosemite elopement was filled with so many quiet, meaningful moments from start to finish. From their sunrise first look overlooking Yosemite Valley, wandering hand in hand through the meadow trails, standing beneath the roaring power of Yosemite Falls, and sharing a peaceful riverside ceremony grounded in faith… every part of the day felt intentional.

But one of the moments that stuck with me most was watching their family surround them in prayer. There was something so powerful and sacred about seeing these two begin their marriage so deeply rooted in love, faith, and community.

The biggest congratulations to you both as you start this new chapter together as husband and wife 🫶

And a huge shoutout to for doing such a phenomenal job coordinating their ceremony and intimate celebration. Everything came together so beautifully šŸ’›

Back on the road to Yosemite tomorrow before the sun comes up for another dreamy spring elopement and honestly I’m so here for this season of life 🄹🌿

9 elopements + 2 photoshoots over the next 7 weeks and it’s about to be a whirlwind of 2am alarms, Starbucks lattes, happy tears, mountain views, and the kind of moments that make this job feel surreal.

Every year around this time Yosemite starts waking back up again and it feels a little bit like stepping into Narnia after winter 😭 Waterfalls raging, dogwoods blooming, golden light everywhere… truly the best kind of chaos.

Feeling wildly grateful that THIS gets to be my job. Let’s freaking goooo šŸ’›šŸ«¶

Spring officially said ā€œit’s your turnā€ and I’m not mad about it 🌱🌷🌼

I’m heading into my first 2026 elopement this weekend in Yosemite and honestly… how did the off-season fly by that fast??

Between the holidays, homeschooling, and pouring into my coaching business, I’ve stayed busy, but there’s just something about getting back behind the camera that feels like coming home.

Temps have been over 80° here, it’s the first day of spring and I’m stepping right back into a full stretch of shooting. Yosemite this weekend, then Big Sur and San Francisco in the coming couple weeks. šŸ˜†

I’m so excited to dive back into Yosemite’s beauty this weekend and fully soak it in again. Getting to capture and officiate my first elopement of the year in a place like that feels extra special, and I already know it’s going to be such a meaningful day.

Safe to say we’re so back šŸ’›

I’ve missed the early mornings, the adventure, the in-between moments, all of it. I cannot wait to create some magic with my couples these next few weeks.

Let the season begin ✨

Hey friends. It’s been a minute.

I realized the other day that I haven’t posted here since mid-January. At first I felt that little voice in my head saying, ā€œYou should really be showing up more… you run a business… people are expecting contentā€¦ā€ and honestly, the pressure to always be present online can feel very real.

But this winter has been a season of slowing down for me. A season of pouring into my family, my faith, and some behind-the-scenes work in my businesses that doesn’t always make it to social media. I’ve still been working, still photographing, still building things… just more quietly.

And you know what? I think that’s okay.

We live in a world that constantly tells us to stay busy, stay visible, stay producing, stay posting. But sometimes the most important thing you can do is step back, breathe, and reset.

There’s also been so much happening in the world lately that can feel heavy and overwhelming. When things start to feel loud like that, I’ve learned it’s really important to unplug for a bit. Turn off the news. Put the phone down. Get outside. Touch grass. Spend time with the people you love.

For me, that’s also where my faith comes in. My peace and hope don’t come from the headlines or the chaos around us. They come from knowing that I serve a God who is ultimately in control, and that all things work together for good for those who love Him. That truth has carried me through a lot of seasons.

So if you’re someone who’s been feeling like you’re failing because you haven’t been able to show up everywhere the way the world tells you to… this is your reminder that you’re not behind.

It’s okay to rest.
It’s okay to reset.
It’s okay to take a break.

And when you’re ready, you show up again.

So… hi. I’m here again. And I’m excited for what’s ahead this year — both with photography and the coaching side of my business.

And if you’re still in a quiet season yourself, that’s okay too. You’re doing better than you think. šŸ’›

Guess we’re doing 2016 photo dumps? Okay, buckle up.

2016 was a year of major transition. It was a year post-divorce, and I was figuring out what it looked like to stand on my own two feet — just me and my daughter.

I was in my second (maybe third?) year of shooting weddings — you can spot one of those early galleries on slide 3, lol. But I was also pouring drinks downtown to make ends meet. Hustling hard, dreaming big, and kind of just trying to survive and rediscover myself at the same time.

That year I got tattoos inspired by two of my favorite things (Aurora and Star Wars, obviously), played a ton of music (on my new Gretsch), and got to travel a bit — Yellowstone being a major highlight. Oh, and I forgot how much I loved playing darts at the bar. I was actually pretty decent.

It’s wild to think that 10 years later, I live right around the corner from that first duplex I had all on my own. I’m back in single mom mode — but this time, I’m running my business full-time, building something I couldn’t have even imagined back then.

Honestly? 2026 is kind of giving 2016… but healed, wiser, and way more aligned and grounded in faith.

Thanks for the little jaunt down memory lane, Instagram. I think I needed it.

There’s one month that books out faster than any other in Yosemite — and it’s not random.

-Access opens up.
-Permits are still allowed at Glacier Point.
-Waterfalls are still flowing.
-Weather is more predictable.

When all of those pieces line up, it creates a sweet spot that couples feel — even if they don’t know why yet.

That’s why this month is the one I book the most elopements for, year after year… and why my June 2026 has been full for months already.

But remember, just because it’s popular or common, doesn’t mean it’s right for everyone. This also means a lot more tourists, which means it’s more crowded than in shoulder season.

If you’re planning a Yosemite wedding or elopement and want real info that actually helps you choose the right timing (not just what looks good on Pinterest), follow along.

Save this for later — your future self will thank you. šŸ’›

It’s not often that I share black and white images; sometimes I forget how much I love them! I think the last image is my fav, but it’s hard to choose! Which one is your favorite? I’m dying to know!

Finally sharing some favorites from Jocy & Michael’s November wedding in Yosemite šŸ¤

These two wanted photos that felt like them — romantic, nostalgic, a little adventurous, and full of feeling. Black-and-whites images were a must-have for them, and I’m so proud of the timeless, emotional, artful images we created together.

The best part? We crafted a day that didn’t feel like a checklist. It felt like an experience — and that’s what I want for every couple I work with.

Just because you’re getting married in a place like Yosemite doesn’t mean it has to feel cookie-cutter. You don’t have to follow a template. Your elopement can be quiet, bold, emotional, playful, spiritual — or all of the above. It can be you.

I help couples plan elopement days that feel like an extension of who they are — with all the adventure and beauty Yosemite has to offer, woven together with intentional moments that matter.

So if you’re planning a wedding or elopement here and want it to reflect your story, I’d love to help bring it to life.

I just won my 5th Elopement Photography Legend Award…

…and somehow this is happening five days after one of my photos was named one of Junebug Weddings’ 2025 Best of the Best. Two major awards in the span of a week feels unreal in the best way.

These last few days have been such a powerful reminder of how much intention, growth, and heart I’ve poured into this work over the years. The long days, the learning curves, the quiet seasons where I questioned if I was really making progress — all of it led here.

This image was seriously such a fun and impromptu moment, these two were so hungry after bowling, and since the alley didn’t serve food until later, we drove around the corner to In-N-Out burger for a meal. Such a fun little pit stop during Tiffany and Joshua’s elopement day in Monterey and Big Sur, and I owe it to this fun couple’s hungry tummies that we were able to capture such a fun and candid moment šŸ˜†

I don’t take this recognition lightly. Getting to tell honest, emotional love stories in wild, beautiful places is something I’ll never stop being grateful for, and to have that work acknowledged on this level is incredibly humbling.

To my couples: thank you for trusting me with your stories. To God: thank you for your exceeding faithfulness and blessings. And to past-me who kept showing up anyway — I’m really proud of you. šŸ’›šŸ¤

Two huge honors. Five days apart. Still in awe.

I don’t even know how to put this into words, so I’ll just start here: This image won one of 50 photos worldwide selected for Junebug Weddings’ 2025 Best of the Best Wedding Photo Contest. šŸ¤

This has been a dream and a goal of mine for years. Like, quietly-on-my-vision-board, whisper-a-prayer-about-it, ā€œmaybe somedayā€ kind of dream. And somehow… it’s real.

Out of tens of thousands of images submitted from insanely talented photographers all over the world, mine was chosen. I’ve cried happy tears, stared at the email like it might disappear, and felt this overwhelming mix of gratitude, pride, and holy-wow-is-this-my-life?

Photography has always been more than just pretty images for me. It’s about telling honest, meaningful stories — the kind that feel sacred in the moment and even more so years later. To have that work recognized on a platform like this feels incredibly humbling and deeply affirming.

Thank you to my couples who trust me with their most intimate, emotional, once-in-a-lifetime days.

Thank you to every season of growth that led me here. And thank you, God, for exceeding prayers I didn’t always know how to say out loud. šŸ¤

This is easily one of the greatest honors of my career… and I’m still a little in disbelief (okay, a lot).

Visit website to see all 50 of the stunning images that won this years best of the best.
