Tiny turtle alert! 🚨🐢

The bog turtle is the smallest turtle in North American and one of the smallest in the world. The turtle in this photo is a baby, but it will grow to be no longer than 4.5 inches in size as an adult.

This species was listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) in 1997 due to habitat loss and illegal collection and trade. Two distinct populations of bog turtles exist, separated by a 250 mile gap in their ranges. The northern population is found in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The southern population is found in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

The C E R B E R U S
I've seen a lot on mental health lately, and wrestling with my own, I haven't seen much that illustrates what I'm going through. Kinda like, finding the perfect song to fit your mood, I think this is how it feels. Look into each image. What does it make you feel? My hope with this project is to spread awareness. Everyone is going through something, you may just not see it from the outside.

Dried Up ...
this is the last batch from The Bouquet of Good Intentions set.
I'm working through a lot of emotional crap at the moment. Two of my best friends passed away a week apart from each other and it's emotionally/mentally up-ended my life. It wouldn't feel right for things to go back to normal anyway. There's such a gaping hole they've left behind.

Please enjoy some darker, moodier content in the meantime.

A Bouquet of Good Intentions.....
Lately I don't know how to answer, "how are you doing?" Life has been so overcome with death. So I tried to photograph it for you.

No one realizes that "are you okay?" Only has one answer if you don't want to talk about it. Or maybe I've gotten so used to people pleasing that I'm making excuses for myself. The truth is that I don't know how to be okay. I don't know what that means any more.

I'm going to be posting some "off brand" content for awhile as I process my grief. I'd say sorry but I'm not right now.

Are your Spider Senses tingling??

For it being only their second year, Springfield Comic Con was great! It's spacious with multiple floors which make it a great starter con. They had a relaxation area where families or neurodivergents or introverts could take a break! Just wanted to point that out as a really cool feature.

I'm behind on getting these out and I haven't wanted to post much of anything. There's been so much death in my life recently. Every day hurts. There's some new stuff I want to do and it's not my usual look but I don't care enough to not post it. We'll see if I get around to it. I don't get around too much right now. It's like time is moving at a different speed for just me.
