Some couples just feel like they were meant to find their way into your life.

Maybe it was our shared ties to Nashville. Maybe it was their decision to get married at a stunning New England distillery. Or maybe it was because they’ve surrounded themselves with the kind of people who know how to love deeply and celebrate fully.

Whatever the reason, Emily + Ashleigh’s wedding day was pure magic. So much love. So much presence. So much joy. The kind of day that reminds me exactly why I do what I do.

I’m endlessly grateful that couples like them trust me to document these moments—the big ones, the quiet ones and everything in between. And while the party alone deserves its own post (because trust me, it was a fcking GOOD one and I will get around to sharing it), today is for soaking in just how special it all was. 🖤

Everyone knows rain can sometimes throw a wrench in your session but don’t sleep on the sun and heat this time of year either! A 95° New England day isn’t just uncomfortable—it can actually affect your outfit choices, hair and makeup sustainability and honestly how much fun you’re able to comfortably have in front of the camera 🤷🏼‍♀️

The best sessions happen when everyone feels good and relaxed so staying flexible with session timing is always worth it if harsh weather is in the forecast. Thankfully, we were able to bump this engagement session to a much cooler day a week later once we saw hot it was going to be on our original date and it truly made all the difference!

And if rescheduling isn’t an option for whatever reason, don’t sweat it (hehe get it?!) You can lean into it and end your session by splashing around in the ocean or grabbing an ice cream cone at your local go-to. Sometimes you just gotta embrace it and make the memories anyway!
