A mom recently told me that with two little ones, she realized how few photos she had of herself with her kids throughout the year. She’s so busy being in the moment… holding someone, chasing someone, taking care of everyone, that pulling out her phone just doesn’t happen. And that’s why she’s so grateful they book family photos every year.

Because no matter how busy life gets, she knows she’ll have photos of her in it, too. The way they fit in her arms. The way they reach for her hand. The way they laugh together.

All the little things that will look completely different a year from now. 🤍

Trust. It’s one of the most important parts of choosing your photographer.

Trust that I’ll find the beautiful light.

A full family session gives you more than just a bigger gallery. It gives us room to slow down. Time for your kids to warm up, explore, snuggle, run, laugh, and simply be themselves. No watching the clock. No rushing from one pose to the next.

Adding a newborn to a toddler’s world is a big adjustment. Then a photographer shows up with a camera, asking them to snuggle a baby they’re still getting to know. That’s a lot for a little person.

One of the things I’m most proud of as a newborn photographer isn’t my camera or posing. It’s my ability to read the room… or more accurately, read the toddler.

I never rush them or expect them to perform. We take things slow, figure out what makes them smile, let them warm up in their own time, and make the session feel like play instead of pressure.

The best newborn photos don’t come from forcing moments… they come from creating the space for them to happen. 🤍

Every fall, I offer a limited number of family sessions designed for families who want more than a quick holiday photo. These sessions are about preserving this season of life with artwork and images you’ll treasure for years to come.
