Vanessa Joy is a luxury wedding photographer serving New Jersey, New York City, Austin, Texas, and worldwide with over two decades of experience capturing sophisticated celebrations. I could go on about the "history" of me, my awards and publications and my 20+ years in photography, but the truth is I just love marriage and being a part of one of the most important times in my couples’ lives. I want our time together to be fun and when you look at your photos, you remember how you felt, not how I posed you. My hope is one day your children and grandchildren discover your wedding album and you pass on the story of your love through it. SOME FUN FACTS:

My first professional photography job was in 1998. I am a Canon Explorer of Light. An honor bestowed by Canon themselves to only 5 wedding photographers in the country. Currently, I write for the world's largest photography magazine, ShutterMag. In my previous career, I was a Spanish Teacher (and celebrate every September when I don't have to go back to school). Making wine with my friends and family is a favorite activity of mine; Napa Red Zinfandel is my favorite wine. I’ve won multiple, prestigious wedding photography competitions and awards. My husband and I met while working a wedding (and he's a wedding videographer! www.RobAdamsFilms.com). I wrote my first book in 2019 all about Photography Lighting. You can find me continually teaching all around the world in front of massive audiences of 3,000+ people. I still get butterflies at every wedding. Vanessa Joy is a professional New Jersey, New York and Austin Texas wedding photographer capturing TX, NJ, NYC and destination weddings. With an emphasis on photojournalistic wedding photos, she primarily photographs weddings in the New York City and Manhattan areas as well as Northern New Jersey Austin and Dallas Texas.
