A big part of my approach on wedding days is not repeating or faking moments for the sake of a photo. That’s not true to your day or true to my philosophy.
If your earrings are already on, they’re on. You’re not taking them out and putting them back in for a photo op.
If your tie is on, it’s on. We’re not undoing it just so I can photograph you tying it again.
And if you’re opening a gift from your partner, I’m not going to ask you to pretend to open it again. That moment, and your reaction, gets to be real.
Can I still highlight those details and moments? Absolutely! I can photograph your earrings while you’re fixing your hair in the mirror or during portraits. I can catch your partner adjusting your tie. I can get pictures of the gifts you are receiving when it’s happening or photograph them later.
I don’t want you spending your wedding day thinking about what needs to happen for the camera. I want you to live it. 🤍
