I haven’t shared photos in a while.
Lately it’s been reels and little video clips, but these images stopped me in my tracks.
Today was one of those days.
The kind where the toddler throws every meal on the floor, screams about things I never quite figure out, and seems determined to end our breastfeeding journey whether I’m emotionally prepared or not. 🥺
Meanwhile, the big kid is designing his dream bedroom and casually mentioning girls he’d like to take on dates, which feels impossible considering I’m pretty sure he was just learning to read yesterday.
Motherhood is funny like that.
Some days feel endless while somehow the years keep flying by.
Then I came across these photos.
Just Sully on a trampoline in shorts that were much too big, eventually taking them off, reaching and smiling for me (complete with a war wound scar on his eye from a casualty of learning to walk).
Nothing monumental.
No big milestone.
Just a moment that already feels gone.
And I’m reminded why I started taking pictures in the first place….
Not because every day is beautiful.
Because every day disappears.
And I’m grateful I have these moments to hold onto when I need the reminder.
