a few things that I find endlessly chic—

prioritizing fashion on your wedding day
small and intentional guest lists
cutting out ‘filler’ wedding extras (curate until what remains all feels important and meaningful)
dinner with your guests at one long table
handwritten or drawn elements (menus, place cards, letters)
candlelight- everywhere
including downtime in your plans for the day to relax, take everything in and spend time with those gathered

Just a few things that popped into my head as I thought back on Chandler and Micah’s intimate Bald Head Island wedding from last summer with 🤍🤍

Imagine getting married here…

you arrive at and are immediately calmed. Humming cicadas, fresh lavender and crisp linens welcome you.

The most beautiful property in the south of France, that immediately felt like home.

I’m longing to head back to document a celebration here ☁️☁️☁️

It’s been a little quiet over here as I’ve been traveling lots over the past few weeks, lots of incredible locations and photographing many gorgeous celebrations this summer that I am so excited to begin to share!

Tonight I am sharing a few frames from an intimate celebration at a small boutique venue in Manteo, North Carolina. The reception tables featured soft draping, punchy florals and fruits in fresh summer greens, with lots of candlelight. The bride’s vision board inspired an elevated garden party aesthetic that was a joy to photograph as lighting softened throughout the evening.

There’s something about greens on film that I keep coming back to as well, an absolute favorite combination.

Cheers to this incredible team who brought the bride’s vision to life—
