Crazy week on the beach this week for portraits.
Surprise engagement to family fun!
We had rain, we had 40 miles an hour winds, we had sun.
But all my families hung in there and were amazing with being able to adjust to some not so perfect conditions here.
Even took some inside the beach house while it was pouring down rain.
Bottom line, everyone went home, happy and another week in the books!
Do what you love and love what you do ❤️

As a photographer, there are days when you’re so tired because you had to be up at 3 AM to get to your photo shoot down in Hatteras by 5:30 AM……. Get home and edit ……… get ready for your next photo. Shoot that afternoon …….. go home and edit ……….. then get to your evening photo shoot .
You always second-guess yourself as to whether or not you are giving your families and clients you’re 100% and if you are good enough to keep going every single day this time of year.
I met a family this evening that totally captured my heart!
Below is what She mentioned on her page about her photos from this evening and it actually brought tears to my eyes. Just solidifying that doing what I do, does matter to these families!
I take pride and what I do in hopes that I’m not only capturing just a photo, but I capture the heart of the family!

As the sun set over the ocean, you captured more than photos—you captured moments. The laughter, the love, the joy in Chyler’s smile, and the memories we’ll treasure forever. Even the sneak peeks have us completely in love. 🫶

As a family that carries both incredible love and incredible loss, photographs mean so much to us. They freeze moments that pass too quickly and allow us to hold onto them for years to come. Thank you for preserving this chapter of our story so beautifully.
