I will never get over this! Being at 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge .bklynbridge in the heart of Brooklyn for Liz and Jason’s wedding. I’ve known Jason’s family for years because we’ve met on the beach in Corolla for their family photo session for the past 5 years or more. And I have always loved his family. Just the nicest people! Watching Liz and Jason over the years in our photo sessions, it was plain to see that Liz has changed him. He’s come out of his shell so much! They compliment each other. Watching them touches my heart and reminds me of the power of finding “your person”. Everyone should get to find that person who makes them better and who they do the same for in return. I just can’t get over the honor of being there for them on their wedding day. Getting to travel up to NYC. One of my favorite places for one of my favorite families!

The next time you’re at a wedding ceremony take a sec to look around you. You’ll see couples sharing a “this was us” look.

Maybe that’s why I love being a wedding photographer so much. I meet amazingly wonderful people who I get to be there for on THE DAY that they will look back on forever. And I’m so happy that they get to one day look back and think “that was us and look at what we’ve built together, how far we’ve come.

You want a shot list that includes your grandmothers and your best friend from 4th grade and everyone in between…but you can count on me to go off script and capture all of this type of goodness too!
