"The Phoenix"

Quick back story on the naming. Two years ago, we took a trip to Vegas during the pandemic for my birthday. I set out to the Mojave Preserve one evening to capture the milkyway. I captured tons of data that night. I created my best image to date (July 2020).

In January 2011 I suffered a catastrophic data loss and thought I had lost this data. I found the raw files on an old CF Card that was tucked away in one of my camera bags and was overjoyed.

I went right to processing it in a new to me program, Astro Pixel Processor. The sky data you see below is what I was able to bring out.

This is a composition with the foreground being the Trona Pinnacles, where I was at this last fall for some Orion catching.
