My feed is full of family photos, vacations & birth announcements! I am just always so thrilled to see people I know & love celebrating life & and incredible moments, big & small! Speaking of small - just take a look at those little hands & feet!!

These are some of my FAVORITE types of pictures to capture, because there’s just something so special about that fresh, new baby and their amazing family! I can’t believe we're at the end of June AND it's National Camera Day - we’re just enjoying this summer so much! If you’re interested in a fun summer session - I would LOVE to connect with you! Happy Father’s Day! I wanted to wish all of the incredible dads out there an incredible day filled with love, laughter & feeling so full of love (& hopefully some yummy food!!). Our community is stronger when we have dads & men who care & get involved, and we are so thankful to have such great men in our lives!

Contrary to popular opinion & as much as they might “fight” the idea of family pictures… I’ve actually come to realize that the menfolk have almost as much fun during pictures as everyone else! I love seeing their personalities come out & we all know that they love sharing those family sessions on Facebook and putting pictures in their wallets and/or offices as much as the next guy!

Yesterday was National Nature Photography Day! While I’m technically a photographer of humans… nature is always something I love to have in the background! (laughing face emoji!) I wanted to share a few of my favorite photos of clients surrounded by gorgeous nature in the background - I just love looking at God’s creation & handiwork!

I feel so incredibly blessed - I know I say that a lot, but I truly mean it, from the bottom of my heart. Not just because of our family & our community, but also for your trust in telling your stories and capturing memories. I’ve thought a lot about what the word “legacy” means to me, and I wanted to share a sneak peek of a new type of family photo session!

Introducing: The Legacy Session!

This is a session similar to our family photoshoots, but more in-depth; a premium experience with even more impact behind it. I can’t wait to share more photos from our family session with the details we wanted to capture & include, that we will treasure now & forever.

We gathered around our sweet matriarch, in a place we love surrounded by her beautiful collection of quilts - celebrating a family that wouldn’t be possible without her. My goal for this particular type of session - our Legacy session - would be to gather your family (born OR chosen!) and let’s find that perfect location that means the most to you; a family home, a barn or cottage, and preserve memories that will last for generations!

I will always offer the more “traditional” family photo sessions, of course! This option is just an extra step that involves a touch more planning & “props” - so that we can create something you’ll never forget. Happy National Best Friend Day! Is it cheesy to say that all of my clients feel like besties? Or at least, like a part of my community? I hope not, because I sure do love them all!

What an INCREDIBLE month May was! We had so many amazing sessions - from 5th grade graduates, to senior sessions, to cute kindergarteners… to new babies & more… I feel so blessed! Here’s a sweet snapshot of one of my most recent sessions that I could NOT wait to share with you!

You all know how much newborn sessions have my heart! This sweet little angel is already SO loved and I just loved being able to show off this sweet family in their element - what a joy it is to photograph a family that is so full of love & laughter!
