I’ve photographed a lot of weddings, but I’ve never witnessed a moment quite like this.

After every guest had left and the room grew quiet, Emma and Evan shared one final private dance. But it wasn’t to a love song.

It was to Thank You Jesus for the Blood.

As they held each other, they weren’t just reflecting on the day they had just experienced. They were praising the One who made it all possible. In the stillness of that room, with no audience to impress and no cameras to perform for, they simply worshipped.

It reminded me that the strongest marriages aren’t built on perfect wedding days, beautiful photos, or even the love two people have for each other.

They’re built on Christ.

Marriage is one of God’s greatest gifts but it was never meant to point only to itself. It points to Him. To His faithfulness. His grace. His sacrificial love. His redemption.

Watching these two begin their marriage with hearts full of gratitude for Jesus was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever had the privilege of witnessing.

Emma & Evan, thank you for letting me capture a moment I’ll never forget. My prayer is that every season of your marriage continues to be filled with the same posture of worship and the same confidence in the One who will faithfully walk with you both for the rest of your lives! 🤍

A month has already passed since Isabella & Hayden’s wedding and it still feels like yesterday. 🤍 It was one of those days that was simply beautiful from start to finish and we’re so thankful we had the opportunity to document it. Wishing these two nothing but the best as they begin married life together!

A little reminder for every couple planning their wedding day: it doesn’t have to go perfectly to be perfect.

Emma & Evan’s day brought the summer heat, rain showers, and a few unexpected changes, but none of that could take away from the joy they shared. Their smiles never faded and they chose to embrace every moment exactly as it came.

At the end of the day, the weather won’t be what you remember most. You’ll remember the person standing beside you, the people who showed up to celebrate you, and the love that filled the room.

Made a quick trip back to Charleston this past weekend for a few shoots, including this sweet proposal for Jalena & Matthew. 🤍

The weather definitely kept us on our toes but it ended up clearing at just the right time and gave us the prettiest sunset to end the evening.

So happy for these two and grateful I got to capture such a special moment. Congratulations, Jalena & Matthew! 💍
