Yesterday, Spartanburg County Fire Department honored the ones who lost their life on 9/11, 2001.
Yesterday, we heard from Spartanburg's new police chief Alonzo Thompson, Spartanburg Fire Chief Pierre Brewton, and Boiling Springs Fire Chief Steve Graham.
The order of 9/11:
8:46 am - North Tower was hit
9:03 am - South Tower was hit
9:37 am - The Pentagon was hit
9:59 am - The South Tower collapses
10:07 am - A plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania
10:28 am - The North Tower collapses
The attacks at the World Trade Center resulted in the deaths of 2,753 people, including 344 firefighters and 71 police officers. The attack on the Pentagon killed 184 people, and 44 passengers and crew members on board United Flight 93 died when terrorists crashed the plane in a field in Somerset County, Pa.
