I am a Spokane native who took a chance to pursue her dream. I see beauty in every moment and love capturing memories to last a lifetime. Hi! My name is Janessa.

My life-long passion for photography began as a young child with my grandparents' 35mm film camera, and the flame really ignited when taking photography classes in high school. After giving birth to my son in 2015 I realized it was time to leave my job at a local credit union and pursue my true calling for photography by studying at a local university. I am drawn to beautifully simple scenes and c

andid expressions. It’s one of the reasons I love photographing children—until a certain age, they are completely unconcerned about the presence of a camera and don’t even think to pose. Some of my favorite photographs of people of all ages are the expressions between poses; that moment when my subject let their guard down and truly showed themselves to the camera. These are often my clients’ favorite photographs, as well. It’s a blessing to truly pursue my passion and focus on maternity, birth, newborn, children, and family photography. My goal as a photographer is to capture your family’s authenticity and individuality with the same connection as if I were shooting my own. I look forward to working with you to create images to last a lifetime.
