The photos that feel REAL are usually the result of someone knowing when to give a gentle direction and when to completely disappear. Creating the space for a moment, then getting out of the way.

That’s the difference between a photo that looks natural and one that actually feels like it.

& then there are the moments that have nothing to do with portraits. The walk back after photos when you finally exhale because you’re MARRIED. 🥂

Or the laughs during a speech & energy in the room.

Those moments aren’t directed. The photos happen when someone is paying close enough attention.
