Benjamin is 14 today! ❤️
We all have that one kid who can make or break the world, and he is definitely mine. He has all the strong will of his father and me, a fierce sense of justice, and a side that can be so gentle and sweet (as long as it doesn’t involve a sibling 😂).
Every day, I try to harness that strong will, guide his heart, and shape the man I can already see trying to emerge. The struggle between childhood and growing up is real, and some days are harder than others. He’s learning who he is, testing his limits, and figuring out how to navigate a world that doesn’t always make sense to him.
But I know that one day, I’ll be laughing about how hard some of these days were as I watch him raise his own little mini-me. And something tells me that will be a whole new level of entertainment. 😂
Until then, I’ll keep loving him through every phase, guiding him when he needs direction, giving him grace when he falls short, and reminding him of the incredible man he has the potential to become.
Fourteen years down, and so much growing still to do. I’m so proud to be his mom, even on the days when we’re both learning a thing or two.
Happy 14th birthday, Benjamin. ❤️ Never lose that strong will, that sense of justice, or the heart underneath it all. The world needs men who are strong enough to stand up for what’s right and gentle enough to lead with love. My prayer is that you’ll grow to be both.
