Finally getting around to editing some of my San Juans images, and remembering just how EPIC the conditions were at the Lonely Cabin!

I’m always looking for that AND factor — this one had it all...the mountains AND fall color AND a killer sunset all at the same time....

Colorado was extra colorful this year and I feel blessed to have witnessed it. Thankful for another amazing fall in one of my favorite states....

What a weekend at Harvest Moon Over Mowdy Ranch! We had SO much fun exploring the property, photographing wildlife of all kinds, catching incredible sunrises, and watching that harvest moon rise over the Oklahoma prairie.

We also spent time learning several different ways to capture the moon in our images, from incorporating it into the scene to getting creative with different techniques. There’s so much more to photographing the moon than just pointing your camera at it!

But my favorite part is always the memories we make along the way and getting to share these experiences with a group of people who love photography just as much as I do.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this weekend so much fun!

Harvest Moon Over Mowdy is almost sold out for a weekend of cowboy country, big skies, wild mustangs, and moonlit adventures at the ranch!

We’ll chase the Harvest Moon as it rises and sets across the prairie, photograph moonlit landscapes, and explore the ranch at sunrise and sunset, including getting out into the mustang fields on ATVs!

And my favorite part...As the moon rises, we’ll listen to coyotes sing, serenading us beneath the moonlit sky. I may or may not join in their chorus....

It’s going to be one unforgettable weekend of photography, adventure, wildlife, and a little bit of Oklahoma ferality.

I just scheduled one more Beginner Milky Way Workshop this year at the Buffalo National River on August 15th!

If you've been wanting to learn how to photograph the Milky Way but weren't able to snag a spot earlier in the season, this is your chance.

We'll be taking advantage of one of Arkansas' greatest treasures...our very own International Dark Sky Park, during Dark Sky Week.

This workshop sells out every year and is designed specifically for beginners. We'll cover camera settings, composition, focusing in the dark, planning your shoots, and everything you need to start capturing the Milky Way.

Galaxies of the Gods 2 wraps up tonight, and is has been an incredible week!

One of the highlights was spending time with our dear friend, Wehyde Yellowman, who graciously shared a glimpse into his world and rich culture. Experiences like these remind me that these adventures are about connection, perspective, and gaining a deeper appreciation for the places we visit.

I’m grateful our group had the opportunity to learn from him and experience the land through a different lens. Canon USA
