(6/26/2026) - The Greene County Sheriff's Office, along with On Patrol Live cameras, performed a traffic stop at Popeyes on E. Kearney St. on a vehicle, which led to the passenger getting arrested for a warrant.

At 8:44 a.m., Branson Fire Rescue was dispatched to the Aquarium after staff reported a chemical spill involving hydrochloric acid.

The incident occurred during a routine transfer from a container into the aquarium’s system. During that process, the hydrochloric acid began fuming and spilled. Hydrochloric acid is a chemical commonly used in aquarium operations.

The spill is contained and the affected area has been cornered off. There are no reported injuries at this time.

Springfield Hazmat and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources have been requested to assist. Branson Fire Rescue crews remain on scene and will continue working with partner agencies to ensure the area is handled safely.

On June 19th, 2026, at approximately 9:00 pm, a Greene County sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a wanted male whom the sheriff's office had been trying to find for the last few months. The suspect began a foot pursuit with the deputy and tripped, causing the deputy to arrest him at the intersection of Kansas Expressway and Kearney Street. The suspect was booked into the Greene County jail for fleeing law enforcement, along with multiple felony warrants.

On June 19th, 2026, at approximately 7:40 pm, the Springfield police department and Mercy EMS responded to a call of an assault at the VP Racing Fuel's gas station on East Kearney Street. Officers filled out a report, and EMS examined the victim, and no serious injuries were reported. It is unknown if the suspect stayed on the scene or left. No arrests have been made at this time.

(6/19/2026) - Greene County Sheriff's office, alongside On Patrol live cameras, had a foot pursuit at the intersection of Kearney and Kansas Expressway; the suspect was arrested and transported to the Green County jail.
