PSA to all of my clients, followers and supporters-
Iāve been sitting with this decision for over six months, and itās time for me to finally say it.
Iām stepping away from photography as a business.
This is hard to say because I still genuinely love photography. I love being behind my camera. I love the little moments, the real laughs, the emotions, and getting to freeze something that someone will be able to look back on years from now.
But Iāve realized that loving photography and loving the business of photography are two very different things.
The business side has burned me out more than I want to admit. The emails, editing, scheduling, marketing, social media, finances, constantly trying to grow, and always feeling like I should be doing more eventually took something I loved and made it feel like another responsibility.
And I don't want that anymore.
I want to make room for my family. I want more time with my husband and my son. I want to enjoy my evenings. I want to read. I want to game. I want to have a life that doesn't always feel like there is another task waiting for me.
So, Mystic Moments will no longer operate as a traditional photography business.
I will absolutely honor every wedding and session I currently have booked for this year and next year. I may still take an occasional session when itās something I genuinely want to do, but I will no longer be actively booking and running photography the way I have been. The page will remain up so I can have as a page to share when I do sessions, forever my website will close. Please stay tuned for client gallery process and timelines of closure so there is no need to download right this second. š
Iām not walking away because I stopped loving photography.
Iām walking away because I don't want the business side of it to make me stop loving it.
To everyone who has ever trusted me with your memories, supported my work, shared my posts, recommended me, or simply followed alongāthank you.
You have been such a meaningful part of this chapter of my life.
This isn't goodbye to something I love.
It's me choosing to love it differently.
Thank you for being here. š¤
