There’s nothing quite like welcoming a wonderful returning family back in front of my camera! I was so excited to see these two adorable kiddos again. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing both of them since they were newborns, and they have always been such a joy to work with.

From the way they laugh, play games, and have fun together to how easily they follow directions, these two make every session a delight. Watching their personalities shine and seeing how much they’ve grown over the years is one of the best parts of what I do. I always walk away from their sessions feeling grateful that I get to be the one capturing these sweet memories for their family.

We have been so lucky with the absolutely gorgeous weather this fall! Knock on wood, I haven’t had to reschedule a single session because of the weather, and even on those warmer evenings, we’ve often been treated to the loveliest little breeze right around sunset. This weekend was no exception!

It was such a pleasure seeing these two adorable sisters and their parents again! Sweet, easygoing Nora always makes my job a breeze, and little sis is more than happy to follow her big sister’s lead. When you have two cuties like these in front of the camera, it makes for such a fun session!

Life gets busy, and I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find time for family photos. Between school, sports, work, and the endless activities filling our calendars, getting everyone together for pictures can feel like a feat in itself!

That’s why I’m so glad we were able to make this session happen for this wonderful, active family. It has been such a joy watching these girls grow over the years, and being able to capture each new chapter is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Time moves quickly, and childhood seems to pass in the blink of an eye. No matter how busy life gets, these are the moments worth making time to preserve.

There is something so special about watching siblings interact during a family session. Sometimes the sweetest smiles come from a little laughter, a silly moment, or simply letting kids be themselves!

As usual, little Henry definitely kept us entertained, and his beautiful big sisters knew exactly how to work the camera. With the most gorgeous golden light and a family that made everything feel effortless, this session was one of those that reminds me why I love what I do.

One of the greatest joys of being a birth photographer is getting to witness the very beginning of a family’s story. Having the honor of capturing all three of these sweet kiddos on the day they were born is something I will never take for granted!

From her newborn session many years ago, to all the moments we’ve captured along the way, Miss Eva has always brought two things to my camera: that gorgeous head of blonde hair and a personality that is as sweet as they come!

This year, I was especially excited to capture Eva and her family on location for a fall family session. Getting to document these precious seasons as my little clients grow up is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and Eva is always such a joy to photograph!

I am absolutely loving these gorgeous fall evenings! Golden sunlight, crisp autumn air, and the most beautiful natural light make this time of year perfect for capturing family memories. This past weekend, I had the pleasure of reconnecting with a few of my favorite returning families, and we had so much fun together!

First up was the adorable Miss Madelynn and her parents. As a former birth client, I’ve had the incredible privilege of photographing Madelynn from the very day she entered the world. Watching her grow and seeing her personality shine in front of my camera is such a joy. Her energy and sparkle, paired with her parents’ relaxed, easygoing nature, made this session an absolute delight!

If you know this family, you understand exactly why I love having them in front of my camera. They are truly some of the kindest people I know, and every session is an opportunity to capture beautiful memories while catching up, even if only for a little while.

As I drove away from this session, it hit me that this will likely be the last time I photograph them with all four of their children still living at home. Their oldest daughter is just a year older than my own, so I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow up, from a little girl dressed as Glinda the Good Witch for Halloween to a beautiful young woman preparing to head off to college next year. It’s moments like these that remind me just how quickly time passes and how important it is to preserve the seasons of life we wish we could hold onto just a little longer.
