What a beautiful way to kick off my fall family session season!
I was so lucky to begin my fall calendar with a double session on an absolutely gorgeous evening! Even more special was getting to meet the extended family of one of my favorite returning families.
It had been overcast all day, but wouldn’t you know it… just in time for their sessions, the sun decided to peek through a bit and gift us with that beautiful, warm early-fall glow.
The perfect weather, the sweetest families, and so many beautiful memories captured. I’d say fall sessions are officially off to a pretty amazing start!

Adorable Eva stopped by for her annual photoshoot, and I can hardly believe it’s been 8 years since I first started taking pictures of her. This year, we talked about her love of dragons and her recent beach-themed vacation. We decided to do studio-only photos this time, as I will have the opportunity to see her and her parents for family photos this fall, and I am super excited about it!

Sweet Raei came in for her 1-year session, and we captured some adorable images. She was initially a bit hesitant about the studio experience, but with some music, a few snuggles from her mom, and some delicious cake, she warmed up and shared a couple of sweet smiles.

I was incredibly excited to hear that this wonderful family was growing again. Their children are truly some of the sweetest and kindest kids I know, and if you know their parents, you understand why they are that way. Their new addition, the adorable Adelyn, was the perfect little angel for her newborn session. So easy-going, she even gave me the sweetest little smile when I took a close-up shot of her lips.

Adorable Colette came in for her 6-month photoshoot and was such a little ham during the session. She had so many sweet smiles and was such a happy little girl. One of my favorite tasks was recreating a setup from her mom's childhood, as she wore a dress that both her mom and grandmother had also worn!

Cutie-pie Carter came in for his 1-year session and was absolutely adorable! He may not have been a big fan of cake, but with some puffs and silly sounds, he easily broke into smiles. Nevertheless, once the fun was over, he made it known that he was getting tired and eager for some cuddles with his mom.

It is always so much fun to see adorable Cullen each year. It's surprising how much a year in kindergarten can mature kids, though. He remains his playful, affectionate, and silly self, but in the last year, he has developed a new sense of maturity, along with a few new adult teeth in his sweet smile.
