Somehow I forgot to post this adorable first birthday session I did for the Brewers 🄹 little guy was born the day after my daughter and it’s been so fun watching them grow up together.

If you can’t tell, I spend a lot of time focusing on skin tones for my clients. Because at the end of the day, I want you to look like YOU. Not washed out like a ghost, not bright orange like a bad spray tan, and definitely not some strange green shade that makes you look like you’re fighting for your life in a hospital šŸ˜‚

Before I even worry about the greens in the grass or the tones in the background, I focus on making sure my clients’ skin looks natural, healthy, and true to life. Because years from now, you’re not going to care if the grass was the perfect shade of emerald. You’re going to care about how you looked and felt in that moment.

Good editing starts long before the photo is taken, too. Lighting plays a massive role in creating beautiful, accurate skin tones. Understanding light, color, and how cameras interpret skin is one of the biggest differences between a quick filter slapped on a photo and an image that feels timeless.

Trends come and go. Overly orange edits, gray washed-out skin, muddy greens… they all cycle through photography faster than people replace kitchen backsplashes. But natural skin tones and clean lighting create images that still look beautiful years later.

I want my clients to have photos they’ll love for a lifetime, not edits that scream ā€œthis was taken in 2026ā€

So if you are looking for timeless photography that outlives the trend cycles (although I hear true to life photography is trending again), dm me and we can discuss your vision and get a date scheduled ā˜ŗļø

If you know me at all, you know I love cars. So when Ray contacted me about doing his son’s senior pictures and mentioned he wanted to add in a Miata, I was beyond excited. This session turned out so cool. Couldn’t resist sharing a little sneak peak.

After New Year’s, Franchesca called me about photographing her and Joe’s wedding, and I was instantly all in. They were both managers of mine years ago and had a huge impact on my life, especially in how I grew in business and confidence. Being trusted to capture their wedding day now feels incredibly full circle, and I couldn’t be more proud to document their story.

ā€œWhy do you charge so much?ā€
I commonly see people online criticizing paying anything over $200 for photography since it’s ā€œjust clicking a buttonā€. The truth it, it depends on experience and what you’re receiving. I’d rather spend $1000 with a photographer I loved an get 5 photos than receive 1000 for free that are subpar. With that being said there is so much work that goes into photography besides the short time frame a client is in front of the camera. The work doesn’t begin when the shoot begins. Or end when the camera is turned off. It goes late into nights, into weekends, and can take us more hours than working a full time job. Here is a speed run of JUST my retouching process on a single photo. Keep in mind, I started this process on a photo I had already edited everything in LRC on. This is the process I do after to truly perfect a photo.
