👉To Purchase Fine Art Photography Prints or Sign up for Newsletter to Learn Pro Tips Visit the Website Link I started learning photography in high school over 40 years ago! I got my first Canon film camera and set up my own darkroom in our basement. I concentrated mainly on black and white photography those days. I

got my first digital camera in 2005 and have practiced almost daily since. I love photographing all aspects of nature - wildlife, plants, landscapes, insects, etc...

I love seeing and taking pictures of the wonders of what our world has to offer - Beautiful landscapes, wildlife in action, close ups of flowers and butterflies, and more. Now that I am retired, I will be sharing my photography experiences as I visit new places, learn to see old places in a new light, learn and practice new photography and post-processing skills, and apply techniques I have learned over the years as an amateur photographer. Hey there, nature lovers! 🌸🌼 Check out "Pink Tulips and Yellow Lilies"—a vibrant blend of pink tulips and bold yellow lilies, each detail brought to life with a subtle pint-like texture added. I loved working with the interplay of light and shadow here to really highlight the shapes and color.

What’s your favorite flower to photograph or see in the wild? Let me know in the comments! There’s something powerful about collecting art directly from an artist who loves nature as much as you do. 🖼️✨

"Misty Morning at Belmont Bay" is a reflective wildlife landscape that honors the habitat as much as the wildlife it supports. In this photo, you are invited into one of my favorite places - the quiet, transitional environment of Belmont Bay. A place where Bald Eagles, Osprey, Otters, Beavers, Ducks, and other species find shelter, movement, and sustenance within a living shoreline.

Rather than centering a single animal subject, this photograph emphasizes the setting itself: the soft morning mist, the still water, the gentle arc of the shoreline, and the bare trees that frame the scene with restraint and atmosphere. The result is a calm, spacious composition that captures the subtle beauty of a natural place before the drama of wildlife activity begins.

I wanted to share Sacred Dancing Cascade. A glacial river threads between spruce and fir, tumbling across striated ledges into a broad, foamy cascade. The currents have a silky quality that contrasts with the hard, angular foreground boulders, one slate green and another with a muted plum tint. Dense evergreens rise toward a snow-flecked peak under a cloud-laced sky, and pockets of autumn gold play against cool aquamarine water to give the scene quiet energy. A close-up eagle portrait is a strong way to start the week because it pulls you right into the detail and intensity of the bird. I love how the feather texture and the direct gaze give this image so much presence.

This kind of moment is why I keep returning to the field with my camera. Nature doesn’t just provide the subject — it sets the mood, the light, and the story.
