Best of the Best nominations are live vote for your favorites from now until July 3! This season of my life has been the toughest, yet my local business friends have held me up, supported me and my business and so much more. Take some time considering voting!

Here are some of my selections and why.

Best Artist: Tehya Maxwell : there are no words to express how in awe I am of Tehya’s art abilities. She has been a shoulder for me to cry on, a laugh to be had, a Hannah Montana song to be sung, and a needle to skin when I get an itch. She deserves all the praise for her creativity and talent.

Best DJ - HANDS DOWN CHILL: I’ve worked plenty of weddings in Springfield and chill is my favorite to work with. “You tell me what to do” is what he often says to me, as he is always down to work with all vendors he works with. I’m grateful for Chill being so personable and kind.

Best gym - my 14 year old self is bias Springfield Health & Fitness : I’ve been there since I was 14, worked there, and continue to go there. There isn’t a place that has felt like a second home much like SHF. They continue to show up for me and it will never go unnoticed. I miss working there sometimes.

Anything ice cream - Lee Ann’s is your only answer: though they’re my family, they truly spread their business with no desire for “credit.” They donate their business and time, but they do it because they want to. Sam and Randi show up for so many people (myself included) and it makes it so easy to support them and all they do. Love you 🖤

Best Nails - obviously Ellerie Waldron | Springfield Ohio Nail Tech : I have sat in different hours of the day and each time gets better. Celery sits and listens, lets me cry, laugh, hold her hand, and stare into blank space if need be. She’s not just your nail girl but truly your best friend. I am so grateful that OHIO | ASH + IVORY HAIR CO. allowed me to cross her path.

Which leads me to best salon : OHIO | ASH + IVORY HAIR CO. : these girls have drowned me in love and support no matter the circumstances. I don’t know what I’d do without them. Watching them allow their customers leave feeling beautiful and confident is my favorite 🥹 because how they make their clients feel is what they reflect in themselves. Just beautiful humans.

Very emotional this morning over how lucky I am to have certain people in my life.

From every high and every low. Every smile and tear. Every overthinking spiral and morbid joke I’d make. They’ve held me close. I hope someday that everyone meets a group I have collected over the past few years. Because some days I don’t know where I’d be without them.

I’ll be their “lil deep lover girl, Cece, pookie bear.” For eternity 🖤
