I love being a mom more than anything. But I also love being an artist, a photographer, and a business owner.

Some days it’s hard to balance the two without feeling like I’m falling short somewhere.

Just a reminder to the moms who need to hear it (myself included): pursuing your own dreams doesn’t take away from the love you have for your children.

I used to think being sensitive was a bad thing, or an insult, when in reality it is such a gift. It’s a gift to walk into a room and be able to read it, to observe people, to really intentionally think about a photograph as you’re taking it. The thing I love to hear most? “We love the emotion we see in your photographs.” That comes from trust, and also knowing how to read a room 🫶🏼

Amber and Brendan got married at her grandparents house with 30+ of their closest people. Their wedding was small and intimate, full of so many thoughtful moments that had me crying. Here is just a snippet of their day with a surprise thrown in. When I talked to them about what they wanted their photos to convey, we came up with heartfelt, sentimental, and emotional. And this gallery is going to be full of that. 🥹

This wedding was the perfect way to end my wedding season before taking a few weeks off to start preparing for maternity leave. It was the kind of wedding that fills your cup and reminds me why I love capturing love. Because of sweet people like Amber and Brendan!
