Silly juvenile Cooper’s hawk 😋 I was asked to go on a “little adventure” to find this recent fledglings parents/nest…I ended up finding both so went back to pick him up and release him back to his family. He decided to do some exploring first and practice some balancing skills before flying off to a nearby tree. World Bird Sanctuary

So cool to watch this young barred owl learn to hunt. Saturday I found this family and the owlet was following dad all around as he flew tree to tree and showing his baby how to hunt…Sunday when I found them the owlet was allll over the place practicing his hunting skills on his own, as mom watched over, almost got a squirrel or may have just didn’t have the experience to hold on to it, missed one landing and almost looked up and around as if to say, “well that was embarrassing 😳 “ then finally back to mom as if to say “look mom did you see what I almost got…I’m doing it!! I’m learning so fast!!” 🥰

Look at this cutie 🥰…I was taking photos of MIKI’s when I heard commotion behind me and heard some kayakers on the other side of the woods. They must have spooked mom..she came running out of the woods with her baby right into me…mom stopped dead turned around and bolted, the baby kept coming closer and closer to me. I just stood still took a couple shots and said you better find your mommy …she then turned and ran for mom. She did catch up to her mommy and back in the woods they went.

Super excited to find this last night. I heard some jays making a big ruckus and knew there had to be some type of rap...

Super excited to find this last night. I heard some jays making a big ruckus and knew there had to be some type of raptor so walked over to investigate…the trees were so dense I couldn’t find anything…and THEN I heard a food begging call further down…right away I knew there were babies barreds near by 🤗🥰 found both parents and one baby but pretty sure I heard 1-2 others in diff spots.
