After a few years of doing traditional family photos in a park-like setting, I have realized that this is not what feeds my soul. I want REAL moments. Moments that happen at home. I want to photograph

a child in his or her own space. Showing me WHO they are. Letting all their silliness and quirks show. I want to connect with my subjects on a personal level. Not only do I want to feel something when I look at images from a session, but most importantly, I want my Moms and Dads to really feel the emotion of the photo, to feel the connection from this time in your lives. I want to document childhood through visual memories.

The blooms this Spring at Missouri Botanical Gardens were incredible! I loved exploring the gardens and downtown Kirkwood with these two. We celebrated with drinks at Four Hands. Such a fun way to spend a Sunday in April! So excited for their wedding in November!!

Spring evenings after the winter has thawed are the best. The days are getting longer, no more need for a coat, and the fun of celebrating love on a beautiful golden evening. The BEST Valentine's Gift EVER! 😍 Congratulations to these sweet parents who I just adore! I have loved watching Madi and Kyle go from just boyfriend/girlfriend to fiancés, then to documenting their private elopement in California then photographing their first baby together and now their 2nd baby together. I have had the special honor of being part of Madi and Kyle's big moments and am so grateful. I am filled up with so much happiness for them and thankful to be part of their journey. I love their sweet love for each other and for their girls.

I loved that I closed out my fall family sessions with a family I have photographed since the oldest was just a sweet little baby. I have so much gratitude that I continue to document this special family throughout the years. I hope they will always look back at the photos I have taken of them and remember the fun memories we shared taking them. 🥹

This location is probably my favorite place to photograph and go back there year after year. Just an open space that lends itself to feeling fun and free. I loved my time with each of my families here the other week and left with a full heart from laughing with everyone so much. 🥰
