St. Clair Bulldogs win big against Hermann Bearcats on Friday, October 15th. It was the last 8th grade football game, and my goal was to capture some images of my grand-nephew on the field. Plenty of opportunities to capture #33 in action. Great job Bulldogs!!!

Sunset in Muskegon, Michigan - October 2, 2026

What a lovely stay we had in Muskegon, Michigan right on the channel. Out our window we could watch the ships go by, step outside and walk down the channel pier to Lake Michigan on the west side and Muskegon Lake to the east. Across the channel was the beautiful Muskegon County Park with forests and sand dunes.

My criteria for our stay this time, was 1-Dog Friendly, 2-Walk to Beach, 3-Sunsets, 4-Sunrises, 5-Central Location for Day Trips.

We hit the jackpot!

Point Betsie Lighthouse, Michigan, filmed by drone on September 29, 2026.

A quiet, overcast evening at the edge of Lake Michigan.

I finally got brave enough to use it over the open water to film my favorite subject. It was quite liberating ... no power lines, no people, only the winds and the birds to worry about. And, of course the legalities of where you are allowed to fly.

Totally worth it.
