Louis area, including Missouri and Southern Illinois, to academic, educational, commercial, news and editorial clients. Photographs, ones that tell the stories of people, places, cultures and events, are what I do at Sid Hastings LLC. Let me help you tell stories for your publication, about your organization, with you mobile app or on your website. I work with all types of newspapers, magazines an

d new media publishers to tell stories with photos about the American Midwest. I also partner with educational institutions, non-profit organizations, design firms, advertising agencies and corporations to create images for use on their websites, with their mobile applications and in their institutional publications. My company was organized after holding staff jobs at the National Geographic Society, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Corbis Corporation and Copley Chicago Newspapers' award-winning Sun Publications group. I studied history at The College of Wooster and earned a graduate degree in photography at Ohio University's School of Visual Communications. I've also been an adjunct instructor at Washington University in St. Louis and on the faculty at the Missouri Photo Workshop. And I'm a proud native of Big Prairie, Ohio, in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country. Along the way my work has been recognized with numerous awards, including being part of the team from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch honored as a 2009 Pulitzer Prize Finalist in the Breaking News category. While with Copley Newspapers I oversaw several newspapers recognized with Best Use of Photography awards from the annual University of Missouri Pictures of the Year International and NPPA's Best of Photojournalism. Other honors include awards from SND's Best of News Design and an Emmy from the MidAmerica Chapter of the National Academy of Television Art and Sciences.
