One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving weekend is that I get to one of my cousins that comes home to visit. My second is that my younger cousin comes back from college and there are laughs a plenty. Each year we take time to do a family portrait and it is amazing. This year I am opening this fun up to everyone. If you have family coming into town that you don't get to see that often capture the moment with a wonderful photo that you can use for holiday cards, gifts or simply to put on your mantle. I absolutely love hot air balloons. While I am deathly afraid of heights and have never been up in one I love the idea of it. Every chance I get an opportunity to go to a balloon glow or race I make a point to be there. While some people chase storms, I chase balloons.

You ever know a group of people that are up for anything you can think of? That is this family right here. I honest believe if I told them we were going to take pictures with half of them upside down they would be like "cool". They love it when we can come up with something different each year and it is so much fun to start thinking up new ideas for their holiday cards.

I try my best not to have favorites but I have to say that if I did this couple would be up there on the list. I have been with Jeff and Kimmy from engagement, wedding, holidays, and anniversaries. I'm their personal third wheel and I love it. I feel so honored that they allow me to be part of the important moments of their lives and relationship and like them I can't wait for the future.

Are you using camera phone pictures to decorate your home?

I hear that so often but what I hear more is how people take a picture with their camera phone and then when they go back to find it they can’t. It is lost in a sea of random pictures that have been taken for Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. Worst of all is when they tell me that their phone died and all their pictures along with it. All those baby pictures, family vacations, and holidays just gone. It is absolutely heartbreaking.

Let’s be real, camera phone are good for what they are good for but when you want art that you can hang on your walls and share on your holiday cards you want more. We can design that more together this fall season. Does your family have a favorite trail? Are you gamers? Movie buffs? All about the extreme sports? Whatever you love to do let’s build your fall portraits around that so when you look up at your wall or flip through your album you will have more than pictures. You will have memories.
