I work my cameras to death. Some people call it overshooting, I call it not missing a single moment.

When I'm hired to document some of the best days of someone's life I simply don't stop capturing hugs, smiles, and expressions of joy until the day is done.

Anyway, I just got back from a 3 hour baby shower and I'm so excited to cull down these shots.

A lot of other photographers you may hire use AI to sift through their photos, but I do it all manually, keeping it old-school and respecting your privacy!

Hi everyone 👋
Just an update - I've been spending a lot of time this year figuring out my creative AND business vision for photography.

While I don't have it all figured out yet (haha), I am happy to share that I've revamped my website https://www.jessica-burkett.com/travel-photography and feel good about where it's at for now.

And just today I booked 2 shoots.
I'm here to share that progress can be slow as long as you're willing to keep pursuing the things you love. 😌

As a photographer I’ve always struggled to “define my niche”.
Even though I've been photographing since the early 90s.
The reality is - people are my niche. Capturing the human spirit. A soul’s emotion. A candid moment. A glimpse.
